While I think the show is beautifully filmed, well acted and smartly
paced, why is Claire in every single scene? Why is her story, the only
story? Dougal seems like he could be an interesting character. Jamie
certainly seems like could be an interesting character. Gilles too. But
yet, episode after episode it is…

Granted it was the first episode, but I was not feeling a connection between any of the main characters and the way the story went from point A to point B to C didn't feel smooth and natural. It was just okay for me.
