It’s really no different than buying a car online from someplace like Carvana. It’s not like we force you to get financed and approved before you drive it. There’s no point in letting someone drive a $50k Ram 1500 if they expect to pay less than $350/month with $0 down.

Wow, that’s insane. At the dealer I work for in CT, we don’t even let people test drive until they agree on the numbers. No point in letting a customer drive and possibly contaminate the vehicle if we can’t even agree on how much the car will cost. The more we can do over the internet - the better.

Why is it always such a big deal that car companies outsource batteries for EVs? It’s really not any different than when the manufacturer outsources other critical components, like the Cummins motors in Rams or Navistar motors in Ford.

While others in the area were doing mass layoffs, ours kept us on furlough and continued to pay for our healthcare nearly in full for as long as they could. I was

Just ran a the numbers on a $48k Grand Cherokee Limited (assuming that’s the trim you were looking at) and that number is totally reasonable. Depending on where you live, the dealer could have been making as little as $650 on that car. Considering the fact that many dealers are nearly wiped out (we’re down to our last
