I didnt like him at first because I had a massive crush on Duchovny and was bitter. On my latest rewatch this fall, he grew on me. They both did. I think if they had been eased in and introduced before Mulder left, they would have been easier to stomach

Agreed. 3-5 are best, but I still enjoy 6 and 7 for giving me funny episodes like Arcadia, X-Cops, Hollywood AD, The Unnatural, etc etc

I've seen them all. Many times. But when I list my favorites, they are all stand alones, aside from Memento Mori and what I call "the Emily episodes"

The bad episodes are real stinkers…but the good and great episodes make it all worth it. Seriously.

Yes, this is even something Duchovny said in a recent interview. He pointed out that there are probably 40 great episodes of the show. And not that the others are bad (well, some are…) but they aren't GREAT.

Yes. Watch it.
3-7 are my favorite seasons.
8 and 9…depending on who you ask, its skippable. But each season has a few good episodes

You won't miss a ton by NOT seeing it. But as a huge fan, any time I do a rewatch, I include both movies.

Their chemistry is still off the charts
