I don’t even know why we are talking about the looks of this product. I, for one, really like it. It’s different from a boring rectangle and the glossy finish looks fantastic, like the last video on the article. This is an entirely subjective matter. No solution will please everyone.
About the emulator, well, yeah,

Wishing your sister and your family health and peace. I hope she gets better and recover well. We all find different things to comfort ourselves, and it’s a nice article to reflect. All the best!

Really neat selection of games. I remember playing a lot of Mega Man Power Battle through an emulator just because I never found it’s arcade in my hometown. Strider and Darkstalkers are also very nostalgic. Too bad they didn’t add a X-men vs Street Fighter (or Marvel Super Heroes), I spent way too much money on

Fair enough. I never consumed any other media outside the movies (and well, Jedi Oucast games, more for the lightsaber battles then the story). So for me it doesn’t feels like a reused premise.

To be fair, Jedi are incredible resilient warriors. The Order just had the surprise factor, and even that, some more powerful Jedi could see it coming, although the movie only showed Yoda. It is only fair that few survived and they are scattered throughout the galaxy. I like this plot, it fills the timeline (as far as

I’ve been watching Ultraman and it is really interesting. If you are into tokusatsu, you should definitely check it out. It is based on a manga. Nice plot, good characters and I love the design of the armors. Oh, and the fact that it happens after Ultraman and not trying to create an instance of the same hero on a

Considering that the break-up happened the day before the letter, LBRL is just heart broken. Sucks, but as doc mentioned, it is not worthy getting hopeful. The very best to do in those situations is to move on. When someone (girl, guy, whatever) wants someone else, s/he will make that happen, regardless of your action

As an Illustrator, if the artbook is good I’m game. Thing is... more often than not the artbook is just under 100 pages and barely covers the creative process at all.. Bravely Default (first and second) was the only two where the artbook was simply amazing. They later released just the artbook in Japan. I was excited

Great read, Mike! Such a refreshing take. Glad you are doing fine!

I don’t think there will be exclusive titles for this new “powerful” system, Stairmasternem. The 3DS only had a very few of them and I don’t see developers wanting to leave a portion of their user base behind like that. For all that matters, @drZaius, your system is not “dead”. As speculated here, this system will

I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s no need to have tweaks or anything. I am very excited to have this game the very same way it was released originally. May the Studio have my money and help them fund more awesome games like this.

Nintendo isn’t spending game-development efforts in this. Most of this effort comes from the indie studios by making indie games. They are merely supporting, curating and promoting them. Game development is something that takes a lot of time and Nintendo, specially, doesn’t play with their IP, they release the games

It would be awesome if the OP could elaborate more on that, because honestly, it doesn’t seem that we are having anime with characters with hair that has such rich colour palette. So if the OP could post some examples that would be awesome (or anybody here, for that matter). I don’t think this “evolution” it’s

Great article, Ethan. I hope everything will be solved to Happ and to whomever BadLand owes. But man, such a shame to be caught up in a scammy company while trying to work hard and produce something you love.

Demanding your own philosophies to countries outside your own and proudly stating that you are a xenophobic make it sounds that you are - literally - the worst. Learn to respect the differences, even when you disagree with them.

It’s not “a dude”, it’s a public figure. And yes, it sets an example. You and me may not be influenced by his actions, and his actions may be common with some public figures in some countries, but to mock the repercussions of his actions shows how little perception you have.

I honestly don’t get people getting so worked up on this. Just don’t buy it :) I don’t intend to buy it. It’s not that they are “wasting” resources creating this, the Labo team is probably a completely different set of minds, so it is unlikely that they can be “used” to create more games, as someone suggested.
I like

As I love Nine Parchments, this trailer mentions that the heroes are looking for Prince Selius, to bring him back to the Academy. It is really nice to discover that both games shares the same universe. Selius is an unlockable character in Nine Parchments and all of them are students on the Academy.
Pretty cool!

Not that simple. Rewrite a story affects everything. This is not a book. Storyboards needs to be redrawn, assets, motion capture, 3D models and graphic textures even, soundtrack and sound effects, tests scenarios, and on and on. It is pretty much the whole thing. Might as well rename the title and launch as another

Really good article, Gita! Please, keep writing about the things you notice in games. It’s impossible to please everyone, just keep going!
