The turning radius of those vans is absolutely absurd. The short wheelbase combined with the wheels being under the driver’s seat means you can turn in a full circle on a residential street without touching either curb. Source: owned a white 86 VanWagon. I miss it dearly.

One of my coworkers still has one of these. Absolutely loves it to death. Its champagne (beige) in color and in absolutely mint condition. The seats are among the most comfortable ever created. V8 doesn’t sound too bad either!

As a bit of a hoarder of boring-looking exciting cars, I want to top off my collection with THIS:

Literally 14 seconds into the VERY FIRST video you posted I hear someone yell “Weeeeew! Roll Tide!!”

I would kill a man for this bike to be available for purchase by me, a regular schmuck, with my freedom dollars. I would buy that bike right now, this very second, without hesitation or “financial forethought” or some silly nonsense like that.

I came down here to post this, but was not at all shocked to find it was already here. Top shelf, my good man. Keep up the strong work.

The correct answer is: as often as humanly possible while not indebting yourself or getting yourself fired. Get two weeks paid vacation? That’s 5 4-day weekends, 10 3-day weekends, or a 9-day vacation and 5 3-day weekends. Make ‘em count! Show up to work at death’s door if you have to. Don’t waste vacation days for

Its also important to note that while the chances of you having to use your fire extinguisher on your own car may be small, there is a not insignificant chance you’ll be able to use it to save someone else’s car/life/etc.

Generally if your carburetor is on fire you can keep cranking the engine and it will put the fire out. I learned this from Roadkill, and then got to practice it in real life on an AMC 360 in my friend’s ‘79 CJ7.

My 1989 Nissan 240sx slipped off the jack and fell on me once. Luckily that little bastard isn’t particularly heavy and after much yelling and alerting my roommate we managed to lift it off me. Use jack stands, kids.

I was riding in a 2001 F350 crew cab dually towing a 34ft trailer with two race cars in it when we hit a deer at 90mph (governed top speed of that vehicle. It will happily tow its rated tonnage at that speed all day). We were on our way to Road Atlanta. The deer was enormous. It disappeared over the tree line. I don’t

So this past Sunday I went to change the transmission oil in my 98 Nissan Frontier pickup truck. This transmission has brass synchros so it requires API GL4 transaxle fluid unicorn blood, which of course is next to impossible to find locally (unless you go to the dealership and pay like $30/liter). The manual says it

Finding good deals on luxury SUVs in and around Yellowstone isn’t that outrageous. Lots of very wealthy individuals have vacation homes out here, and a large percentage of them have new Yukon Denalis/Tahoes/Escalades to haul folks to and from the ski resort. The dealerships out here tend to keep a good stock of those

“R” in Nissan speak means supercharged, so this might be a twin-charged RB30. I can’t find any images, but here’s a link to a video of one in a VL commodore. It makes good noises.

Painting my new front bumper, changing the oil, and ripping some donuts in a snowy parking lot. The ‘ol RS2-spec UrS6 wagon does THE FINEST snownuts of any vehicle I have ever had the pleasure of hooning.

Back in high school my buddy had a 1993 Ford Explorer (Exploder) XLT. It was white. Now by and large this thing was pretty solid except for one little thing; the fuel gauge didn’t work. No problem, as we had tested it out (e.g. purposely ran it out of gas a few times to see how many miles we got to a tank) and

If you check a bag with a firearm in it (domestic flights only obvs) the plane won’t leave without you because you are legally required to be with the bag at all times. Buy you a starter pistol, check that bad boy, and never miss a flight again. They will hold the flight until you get there.

No door handles? Check. Questionable panel gaps? Check. Air vents from a 2002 Pontiac Vibe or something? Check.

I sold my 1989 325i when I moved out west because I didn’t want to put it through the winters. I thought it wouldn’t be the best car choice out here. I was wrong. I should never have sold it. I am a fool.

While I had plenty of tools at my disposal, and a proper place to work, I can remember one repair that I performed that was drenched in pure unadulterated desperation.
