human beings evolved to survive and thrive on a handfull of nuts and berries every day and the occasional piece of meat. There is absolutely no need to eat more than that (unless you are under 15), so instead of fad diets what people need to do is deprogramme themselves from the "brekfast/lunch/dinner/supper" model.

@Seeräuber Jenny: exactly. Richest person in Britain gets the best speech-therapist in the world to help him talk on radio. The only lesson, if there is one, is to get the best: doctor, designer etc

@harei: " The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA), Part III, activated by ministerial order in October 2007, requires persons to supply decrypted information and/or KEYS to government representatives. Failure to disclose carries a maximum penalty of two years in jail."

@Aaron Studer: also, if you take a load of photos at a wedding or such, and then want to show them to a roomfull of family members. TV is the way to go

@PamelaFlying fox: lots of people still have old PC boxes with the side off for ventilation, and boards and wires trailing around the desk. We don't all have white EVE-type Macs with no wires, no dust, no clutter.. :)

They knew about Appstore DRM before they started the port.. they could have put all that time and effort into an Android version instead.

all the people having GPS issues with Cardiotrainer, fire up the app, go into setting/gps, and change the"filter level" down a bit. May solve things, not sure since I don't have any gps issues with the app personally

My Nokia E71 used to have a feature that you could set up a passphrase which, if you later texted to the phone, would lock it/wipe it. That was awesome, and convenient, and I've yet to see something similar on iOS/Droid.

@amolkolhe: yeah, I know all exif is timestamped, which is why I said you can't rely on just that :)

isn't that first one just going to burn a while hole in the center of your monitor? or does that not apply to LCDs?

metadata metadata metadata.

@Mopster: failure to give investigators your password or decrypt any files on your computer/phone carries an automatic jail term of two years

getting more like the UK every day... ;)

I would go with that. Also washing dishes, painting the house, hoovering, gardening.

@Al Iguana: ok, goes against the "look like they were taken with a nicer camera" theme, but still.... cheaper than buying CS5

install Hipstamatic/Instagram/Vignette, shoot, done. Simples.

@oskar.uddenberg: yup. Spotify is the one music service actually worth shelling out the clams for.

@funda: dunno, but the Vignette app for Android has a grid overlay, split into thirds. is that it?
