like, digg, lifehack, whatever. All the more reason to go Droid.

what have I been using for the last six months then? *confused*

@Al Iguana: oh, apparently it also disables the power-button lock. Stupid idea! Remove swipe, keep power-button lock, and we're gold.

good stuff. The slide to unlock is pointless really - just press the button on top before you put it in your bag, then press the button again when you get it out. Why you need to press the wake button AND THEN swipe to unlock is a mystery to me, it's pointless

@Apoc28: suits me fine, since my photos fit the "crap in hd, great in Hipsta" scenario :)

@jupiterthunder: I'm sure we could "Hive 5" about 100 reasons between us why it is impractical/useless/pointless. We don't need Lifehacker for that really...

what if you're offline? Will they still get saved and then synced when you next reach a 3g/wifi connection? Not sure I like the idea of Dropbox background uploading photos as I'm taking them

it's bizarre really - Camera companies spend billions on r&d to give you 20 megapixel, pin-sharp, low-noise raw digital images, then you spend £2000 buying top-range kit . Then 'shop them to look like they came out of a £1.99 disposible camera. Go figure.

hmm.. personally, I'd rather have full-blown Android on a tablet or netbook. But then I'm still not convinced that "everything via the browser" is efficient or practical yet.

@QLAB: "XBMC has been discussed on here many times. I guess its like Tom Hanks, you cant keep just giving Oscars to him."

@dmccall: my camera has an option to turn off the shutter sound. Does stock droid not have this? Sense-ui

@lilnatemc: exactly the reason I installed Swiftkey.

1) they should rename it "People" or somesuch. My gran isn't going to join Diaspora, even if she could pronounce it.

@tuxus: here in the UK, if you went out into a park with one of those you'd have armed police and anti-terrorist operatives abseiling down from black helicopters before you could get your first spud into it...

@p.prove: I don't like the way the majority of users/websites get put down just because bloody iPhone/iPad users don't have Flash. Blame Jobs. It's not OUR fault. Why should we bend over backwards to accomodate Mr Job's ego and stubborness?

@nvleafs - no, but there is an app for that:

@Adam Pash: Yeah, I understand what you meant. And it looks fantastic. Just not my cup of chai :)
