@ImmaLion: see now, I respect that. Showing a fail as a fail.

@MkFly: wait, you mean you actually log out? I've never met anyone who did that before... ;)

@rothgar: agreed. It's not just the coding that bothers me though, there is the backend SSL, credit-card stuff etc, all of which need legal-hoodoo and lots of cash to operate. Surely why things like Etsy and Ebay are (the vast majority) of people's choice when it comes to running a store.

insane Kool-Aid drinking. Bill Gates gives a tech-demo, it fails, and he gets endless piss-taking and re-runs. Jobs gives a tech-demo, it fails, and he gets praise for it. Un-Be-Lievable.

@M1A1D: probably because that would be too easy and obvious :p Yeah, come on Adobe, simple fix

What is this comparing though? The new iPhone4 (which isn't out yet) against a year old device? Compare against an HTC Desire or EVO or something at least.

@handheadman: agreed with all of these, except number 7. Then again, this is a list for "power users", so I don't think gaming would figure much in that list anyway (I want lots of GTD goodness, not distractions).

@Hellaphunt: MakeMKV does the same thing, it doesn't transcode or re-encode, it just sticks the movie in an MKV container. Same data, same quality, different extension :)

iPhone running Android :p

will never use something that insists on deleting my high-rez coverart and replacing it with 20 tiny lorez "albumart" files. Hideous, stupid idea.

@Reutnes: yeah. It's not that hard though - all they need is to save a list of the extensions, and then download the latest from the store. Oh, and backup extension prefs too I guess.

now we're talking. Why doesn't Google build this into Chrome? And why can't we sync extensions yet?

erm... no, they are Star Wars toys, give them to the neighbourhood kids and get over it :p (hides!)

I did scan the loads of gig tickets that I compulsively kept... but then I just stored them away again. So yeah, works for some stuff, but the majority of your "keepsakes" need a good tin/chest in the attic

@Chef: agreed. seems obvious

@icamp: yeah. What we SHOULD be doing is hitting Apple with an anti-competitive lawsuit, similar to the one Microsoft got for bundling Media Player and Explorer. Trouble is, when it's Apple, they seem to get away with it (prob because people fear Apple Legal more than... dunno, Al Qeada or something)

all this progression in software, millions in UI thinktanks and usability studies, and we're going back to 1998 Winamp.

@wjglenn: I want them to do real-time street view, then I won't need to look in my rear-view mirror when I'm reversing, I can just look at the iPad gaffa-taped to my dashboard.

@31337h4ck3r: yeah, but that wouldn't work for a building that was being obscured by some six-foot football player, because Photoshop would be guessing what is behind him. Is there a sign there? Statue? Something else?

@TheCrudMan: I think they need a real operating system :P
