hideous.. BUT, gave me an idea. You know those plastic spools that CDRs come in? Cut a hole in the top, attach your iPod docky bit and booya. You could even paint it white/black and keep your spare headphones inside. Hmmm.. off to make one.

@Derik: ditto. I remember when Textpander was free too....

Don't think W7 is that much different to Vista, more like a service pack. Although if you're coming from XP then it will be a quantum leap, you may have to relearn lots of things.

@vdegeorge: yeah, I mostly use Delicious for 90% of my bookmarks, it's just the common ones (Fb, Tw, Gmail, Lifehacker!) that I need syncing, and Chrome does that nicely.

The built-in bookmarks sync in Google Chrome for private bookmarks. Is this different to the "Google Bookmarks" above or the same thing?

@Mosher: I'm sure it isn't usually that bright, just done for the photos

VOTE: Chrome Bookmarks synced with Google account

@w1llk: depends. If you're ripping DVDs and h264ing them with handbrake, then 1-2 gig per movie. If you're ripping Blurays and sticking them in an MKV, then... lots of gb :)

@Wings of Daedalus: no, because that's not what the Hive-Five was about. Landing Page is like an online business-card - not your "homepage" in your local browser.

@Al Iguana: and yeah, I blame Apple. Their white buds are so atrocious that everything, from 64kps to FLAC sounds the same.

It depends whether you are an audiophile or not. Or rather, how important an actual piece of music is to you.

NB: this IS NOT for Netvibes, iGoogle or any other "homepage". It is for a personal page, online business-card, like this:

@geiko: I dunno. People say "no to Facebook, I like privacy" then they go off and do what this piece suggests, register a "real name" domain, set up a flavours site linking to everything about them online.

its good.. but... for some reason, when I use my tablet the "ink" comes out about 3-5 inches away from the cursor! So I'm drawing over the left of the screen and the line is coming out on the right. Bug? Any ideas? (Vista)

@levelhalom: yeah, I was going to say the same thing. Then I looked at my own monitor/keyboard arrangement and it isn't much difference, distance wise. By time they sit in their chair they will be far enough away.

@Farproc: have you ever used Flash on a mobile? It has been available on Nokias for years(ok, it's Flashlite, but still) it isn't a cpu hog, doesn't kill off your battery. That is just Jobs FUD, sorry.
