@glaeven: yeah. Now it has 128, iTunesPlus, Custom. iTunesplus is just 256kps optimised AAC, like you would usually set in custom settings.

@Asian Angel: I'm running Win7 on a P4 from from 2002. You don't need the latest and greatest hardware, just buy the latest and greatest OS.
trouble is with these sites is that they spam your feed with every track you listen to. I had to remove a couple of friends because every 3 minutes they'd post another "listening to" twit. Gets annoying after a while.

@OulaMan: it takes my Firefox almost a minute to start - but I wouldn't change it for the world. Once it's loaded, it stays loaded.
@Ralph Hardy: best way to go. You don't NEED wireless in a house, unless you are a family of laptop users. If your games machines/media boxes/PCs/Macs are all stationary then wired is better, in terms of speed, reliability and security.
@Al Iguana: also, you can buy a media-playing hard-drive enclosure cheap (£30+) stick a tetra in there and you have a huge selection of movies (DivX/Xvid usually) that you can put in whatever room you want, or take on vacation. Not a wireless streaming solution, but definately portable
