Which the ‘monster’ movies should be - the Mummy, Dracula, the Swamp Monster, these things aren’t horror-scary the way they were to 1930's audiences - they need to carefully tread the line between schlock and thrills. It’s a bad idea because it’s not actually about helping children and supporting struggling families - it’s about giving tax breaks to already well off people. And this kind of policy usually increases the cost of childcare generally, so overall poor families lose out again.
