The Scrote of Many Colours
Some of the sheep?
(Oh dear, that’s the gif my dad was telling me about today. That makes it officially uncool.)
As an exercise in semantics, if he specifically asked for the services of a cis woman, and she misrepresented herself as a cis woman, you could make the argument he was defrauded.
Jebus H Christ. You guys, dafuq!?
Way to miss the point.
Meh, Blue Mountains? Good closed shoes and you’re fine. The nasty ones like warm dark places, so it’s when you camp you have to be careful. These days, it’s rare to see anything dangerous in the wild - like everyone else in Sydney, they seem to like the eastern suburbs.
Interesting - I missed that story and had to go looking (state MP from a different state, so not big news where I am). Dual Aussie/Syrian citizen, so it shows how racist this policy is - there would no reason to block his entry, and plenty of reasons to give him a pass, except he was born in Syria.
You know, people look at Australia as weird for having compulsory voting. But you guys, seriously - dafuq? At least we have an independent electoral body. You don’t give the monkeys the key to the banana plantation.
It’s both. On one hand, children are merely an adjunct to one’s status and power, the agency of another being in your custody is dismissed. On the other, fear and genuine caring cause helicoptering and over-protectiveness. On the gripping hand, a society peopled by those more interested in rights than responsibilities…
So, I’ve been meaning to ask, do you deliberately choose photos that are extremely unflattering, or is that just how the Pusbucket looks all the time?
It wasn’t an ad for Americans, it was an ad for Australian tweens. Outrage is probably overkill, but it’s pretty tone deaf and could do with a correction. Which they did, but the puppy passport thing is just as bad considering our quarantine laws (looking at you, Depp). It’s just pisspoor all around.
It’s like a bad joke - what do you call 15 people indicted over Flint? A good start!
By ‘similar government aid’ do you refer to corporate tax breaks, farm subsidies and industry incentives? Funny how people who rail against ‘welfare’ always forget those...
Pure cheesy goodness! Which the ‘monster’ movies should be - the Mummy, Dracula, the Swamp Monster, these things aren’t horror-scary the way they were to 1930's audiences - they need to carefully tread the line between schlock and thrills. Action is the wrong genre completely, and while Cruise makes great action…
I’ve always thought that the American obsession with guns is problematic at best, psychotic at worst, but when anyone can get a gun, the most vulnerable should definitely have them too. Congrats to these ladies.
But census data is essentially free to the public, yes? So by removing it, they not only limit information but are now able to sell their own data for profit.
33 vans times $150,000 = $4.95 million dollars. (And that’s probably underestimating, given the custom paint job, interiors and extra equipment.)
It’s a bad idea because it’s not actually about helping children and supporting struggling families - it’s about giving tax breaks to already well off people. And this kind of policy usually increases the cost of childcare generally, so overall poor families lose out again.
YAAAAS! Moar spine-pulling! Wheee!
