it actually makes sense, for the teeny cuts on the fingers, rather then a bandaid or leaving it open, which is a health hazard, to just press it against the heat for a split second to seal the cut. I've done it myself. But it's nowhere near Our Lady of No Fucks to Give.

I was laughing at this and Yonny ran over and climbed up my leg 'MUM! MUM, WHATS SO FUNNY? MUM! MUM PAT ME! MUM, YOUR FINGERS TASTE LIKE CHICKEN NOM NOM MUM I'M SLEEPY NOW zzzzzzzz'. And now I have to type with one hand again cause he's asleep on the other.

fffffaaaaarrrrkkk.... My brother is a chef, and he has cut himself open at work several times and just bandaged it (or cauterised it on the grill) and kept going until closing, but jeez lady... And she did everything right from a triage standpoint, was she an ex-combat medic or something?

I am a) giggling my ass off at the description, and b) legit scared of watching that video.

Peacock spiders.

A flat white is what you get when British tea culture merges with Italian coffee culture - essentially a coffee made like a tea. I prefer lattes for the extra creaminess, but there's not a lot of difference between the two in most cafes.

what's Japanese for schadenfreude?

buffy is the best! I got hold of a complete dvd set a few years ago. You expect that your memories will fade a bit, but I was shocked by how much I remembered, almost word for word in some episodes.

weeell, as funny as that is, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and say that it's a standard sign from corporate to the franchisee. I hope the employees were volunteers and paid well though.

I spent the day naked with the sailor I picked up on NYE. Awww yisss.

I remember those dolls! I got one when I was about seven. It had a colour-changing spot on its cheek, it was meant to be a blue star, then when you kissed it, it changed to a pink heart. However, this was Christmas in Sydney, in the middle of a heatwave. I remember my cousin and I sitting with our dolls, holding

Wait, what? Where does New Zealand come into it?

dude, that never ceases to be funny. :)

The local roasted chicken chain in Tasmania is called Legs & Breasts. Yes, I giggled like a seven year old.

my brother and I have battled over Ruby ever since my grandma Ruby died. We compromised by first to have a girl gets it. It's become hugely popular since then, so I don't know if I would use it now, as a first name anyway. (My brother had a boy, I suggested he could take Rueben but the SIL nixed naming the kid after a

exactly. I'm lazy as hell, but I choose to think of it as efficiency. Imma do it ONCE, and imma do it RIGHT, and then imma having a glass of wine.
