Not in his district but right next door (Higgins), I was absolutely amazed by the mental gymnastics that the people who voted for him (again) were doing trying to justify it.

I felt something ‘pop’ inside my brain reading this tweet.
I wish they would bring back refueling. It would shrink the cars down a bit and add another bit of strategy into the mix. That would certainly take care of Hamilton’s ‘heavier’ complaint.
The v6 1le is classed in F-street (the 4-cyl is F-street and the V8 is b-street). If I were on the SEB doing the classing, it would probably go in F-street. But I don't think it'll be competitive there as the e92 m3 owns that class right now. If it get put in F-street, I think it can be right up there with the Civic…
Very nice! I generally run a heavily prepped STX-RX8 but I am kind of getting bored with it. I ran a friends DS-prepped Focus RS at my last event due to an issue with my RX-8 that popped up as I was driving there and had a blast with it. I ran in STU for points purposes but if I would have ran in DS, I would have…
I owned a few Iron Duke Fieros and even in that platform it was incredibly slow. I can only imagine how painful it was to drive a Camaro with the iron duke.
I’m probably one of like, 5 people who are actually excited about this car. The Mustang SVO has always been my favorite Mustang as I am a lover of the odd, different, and unique when it comes to cars and this is probably the closest Ford will ever get to bringing the concept that was the original SVO back.
While you can’t get it exactly on the base package, you can get the HPP and handling package for a $37400 sticker price (A point I wish they would have brought up in the article). Not quite 35k, but a bit closer.
I agree with this article, but I’ll take an of-center hood scoop over off-center badging any day of the week.
Same. It wasn't til after I read a few paragraphs in that I figured out what the headline was actually conveying.
I have been hunting for another rx-8 for a winter beater and potential rallycross car to get me through the cold months. I have my own compression tester and just haven't been able to find one with decent compression yet.
I can’t really argue that. My lifetime average is 19mpg for a 2850lb car. Thankfully my daily, a 2016 STI is much more efficient! 21mpg all day long!! Ugh.....I make such poor (but fun) car decisions.
Yeah, even cheap Motorsport isn’t cheap at all, especially if you want to become competitive. I run an STX-prepped RX-8 in SCCA autocross. I run in roughly 3 different regions but no more than 300 miles round trip. Just between entry fees, gas, at least one full set of tires, shock rebuilds, at least one driving…
“ A customer sees me and shouts: ‘Do we have a problem or what! Why no sandwiches! You guys are the third Popeyes to say so!”
This RX-8 is running a 400+whp MZR (Mazdaspeed3/6) engine in it. John Vitamas is a national champion level autocrosser and has spent most of this season getting it sorted out, but my goodness its a monster.
I am the author of The Mazda RX-8: One of the Best, Worst Cars: A Buyers Guide which has over 190k views now thanks to being shared on Jalopnik. I need to update it a bit as I have discovered a few more things along my path of RX-8 ownership to add.
Please don’t insult Totoro like this....
“I had this song on repeat-one for a solid three months last year and never got tired of it”
I am planning this trip with just me and my son when he’s old enough to drive. I’ll admit, I never had much of a care about Rt66 more most of my life, but after my son was born and having watched the movie ‘Cars’ 10382 times with him, I began to feel that experiencing Rt66 was something that I needed to do in my…
No, all you need is large groups of African-Americans walking around in groups in these Republican districts with Ar-15s and AK47s expressing their second amendment rights and watch how quickly they'll change their tune (See: California 1967 Mumford act and the role the Black Panthers had in it)
