The only place you really see these ‘performance’ crossovers ‘hooning’ is at the drag-strip. Chipped Ecoboost Edge’s and Explorers can run in the 12's. Some can even break into the 11's with heavy mods. But asides from that? I don’t know. I have never seen an SUV/Crossover north of 4000lbs at any autocross, or track…

Yeah. But then I see things like all the clean FD rx7's now coming here and I find myself asking “would it be a bad idea to take a loan out of my retirement to buy a JDM Rx7??”

I keep looking at JDM cars and decided that is I were to own one, I’d want something that I could never have bought here previously. I also love large Japanese sedans and I think something like a Nissan President with a light dash of VIP-style would be a neat thing to own.

Realistically, I’m going to buy an E46 BMW ZHP sedan as a ‘tweener’ between by increasingly less street-friendly Mazda RX-8, and my 2014 Police Interceptor Utility.

My wife’s 2017 Toyota Highlander LE-Plus. It is pretty much the epitome of modern ‘financially responsible middle-class with children’
