i own one. the..er...challenges from being based on an econobox platform can all be addressed. Slow is by far the easiest...intercooler, stage 2 chip, upgraded wga/bov, true cai, and this car is easy above 230 to the wheels. Mine is pushing 25 psi, and it’s not slow :)

The aftermarket (actually, a guy on myg37!) solved this with a box that gets wired in, in order to use the brake lights themselves as blinkers. It works beautifully, and gets rid of the idiotic stock blinkers entirely.

Coming from a family that rarely opened the hood on their cars, let alone did any work, i entirely disagree with that. I suppose it depends on what you’re calling an adult, but I started wrenching on my own cars when I was in my mid-20s, and taught myself entirely, without any assistance. At that point, the car (2nd

fantastic, and fantastically unappreciated band. The first Jed track (Jed the Humanoid) off Sophtware Slump is so good.

or because when he buys one it gets stolen.

No, a cgt

And one presumes Ron is still upset

It’s not a rational purchase - it makes very little sense on paper. Mine is strictly a weekend toy - I cross-shopped with a 135 roadster - and it was an entirely emotional purchase. I bought it because it’s fun to drive, and it makes me laugh.

I'm so glad there are others here that operate exactly like I do.

Came here to say that separate finances are the key to this, presuming that you make enough to comfortably support most expenses of the family solo, and therefore don't need to justify any discretionary income spending.

easy fix

upon winning the lottery, my first move would be to move away from somewhere that gets snow in the winter, and get a vacation house in colorado. with, potentially, a gtr in the garage.
