Agreed - and Taylor Swift??

The apartment is in Tribeca — mentioned in Season 1.

This was very disappointing and felt like lazy writing (and I am a huge WD fan). "Homeland" was so much better last night and "The Leftovers" is just a entirely different level of television.

She is awesome. Loved her comment to a clueless Carrie about Saul and Allison hooking up.

I really don't understand the hate for this show.

I would add the following (all on Hulu Plus):
Current shows: Casual and Difficult People
Classic: Miami Vice (Seasons 1-3)

Finally finished 4 seasons of Miami Vice on Hulu. Seasons 1-2 were outstanding (music, clothes, vibe, guest stars, Don Johnson and PHL). Finished Jeff Guinn's "Manson"

Rewatching it and loved the use of King Tubby (and dub music) in one of the earliest episodes.

Hearing "Where is My Mind" playing while browsing through records at Reckless Records in the Upper Haight during the spring of 1988. I was forever transformed.

I don't get the hate. I am loving the slow build-up and pacing. With Walking Dead, we go straight into the Apocalypse. I like the slow unfolding (neighbors celebrating a birthday turns into massacre)..

Re: Jackie Brown, i agree - it gets better with each viewing with the ultimate dream cast (and music).

I've got Primates on hold at the library - will soon see what the fuss is about.

My absolute favorite read in 2014 - and "CUT" along with The Slits really needs its own renaissance.

I have fond memories of i before e playing at maximum volume on a hi-fi system at a party in high school (circa 1985) and we are all very stoned/drunk and just completely enthralled..

The books that I have on loan from my public library for June:

Give Kimmy Schmidt a few episodes. I was skeptical at first and now loving it.

NPR for an hour in the early morning and then College/indie/internet radio all the way (WFMU, KALX, KFJC, Don Letts' show on BBC One, etc). I don't understand the need to rely on bland and predictable offerings like Spotify and Pandora for music when one has so many choice selections from around the world right at

Agreed on both - and I would add New Order's Power Corruption and Lies - the ultimate in synth music.

Trouser Press, British magazines at my record store (NME, Melody Maker), rock of the 80s radio format (KROQ, KQAK in SF), early MTV and MV3.

Wishing and "It's not me talking" - such wonderful tracks.
