Try putting the plate on your dashboard so it can be seen through your front windshield. That’s what folks do in Alaska (front plate required and enforced) when the car’s faceis too pretty to screw up. Seems to make The Man happy and worth looking into in your neck of the woods. Cheers and good luck on the Shelby

Its a sort of bummer that this comment section has turned into a classic referendum on whether folks should be allowed to own trucks or not. But, I’ll toss in my 2¢ for all it’s worth; I thought dailying a truck was dumb, but to each his own unless you are a maniacal tailgaiter with ridonkulously bright lights or a

Only ever heard people in Michigan give me this gem. Having grown up in Alaska and lived in Washington, North Dakota, and both peninsulas of Michigan I still don’t understand how the folks who continue to believe this are still alive. *Clears throat*

This is good Jalopnik right here. yaaaaas!

I bow to your force-fed rigs.

Have the Lincoln mkViii. Can confirm total bitchin’ness. Tough to navigate cramped roads though, despite the turning radius of a Smart, it’s still got a bigger footprint than a modern minivan (total length, not just wheel base). Strong choice though, even if it was a joke :p !

Had a 2001 VR6 VW Jetta (loved it!). I’ll be damned if I won’t consider it a V6 with a weirdly big single head. Can I come out of the grays yet? Pretty please with sugar on top....

Former 911 turbo owner here. It has a Porsche badge on the hood and is sold by Porsche. They are “true Porsches.” It’s a dumb thing to say.

Several islands in Alaska were occupied during WWII. The longest occupation was an island called Unalaska (where Dutch harbor is located) wasactually occupied for about a year by Japanese troops. You can still find war relics and Japanese pill boxes (the machine gun kind) there. Cool place. Cool history. No trees. Bad

So much THIS! It’s how I got my old 996t

I used them! Big enough for small adults and kids really liked when the turbos spool (996 turbo). “Awd for bad weather and back seats for kids” is how I got my wife to sign off on it. Very useable as long as you’re not using it for kiddo hockey practice duty :p

Had a 996 turbo. You must be Lurch. Shorter to medium height adults do not have a problem sitting back there. Of course we short folks are used to needless pointed jabs from folks who can reach the top shelf. Loved my 996 turbo. The end

A legal concept called Sovereign Immunity kicks in. It is the premise that you, generally, may not sue a government. One of the exceptions is if a government gives the plaintiff permission. As noted in other replies, some government entities have given such permission to sue/accept liability in the form of a statute.

Star for ramps and huffies! Those were the days. Now you kids get off my lawn! (Heard that a lot growing up in the 80s/90s

Yep, anyone who likes a good looking rig that gives smiles per mile on on-ramps and canyon roads instead of track days is an ignorant ass who should be mocked. Really, why don’t jalops have an execution committee to rid us of the impure and sickly who have different reasons for things?

Same here. I don’t track my fast cars very often and would rather quit adequate brakes most of the time. Still love my fast cars, I just don’t push them to “arrest me” limits on the road with plebs. You are a jalop because you love your rig. Whoever is too narrow in their sad race-jock brains can suck rocks, lemons,

Not in Yuroop. They got a 2000 model 996turbo.

Had an ‘01 996 Turbo. Sold it 3 months ago. I cried. Loved that car. Will get another! *said with triumphant fist pump*

Also throttle response sucked ass. In aggressive (rush hour) traffic I need the car to move as soon as I press the go peddle, not hesitate for fuel economy :p Wife and I have a 2012 ford fusion powered with the 4cyl motor. Surprisingly peppy and cleverly geared, very comfortable, none of that hesitation bullshit, and

Too bad your company won’t spring for winter treads. I had late model Edge AWD on all seasons and had the SAME issue with traction control. Huge pain in the ass in snow. If I recall, the owners manual recommends turning it off in snow, deep mud, and loose gravel conditions but DIDNT SAY HOW! I had to source
