I’d argue that Mulaney is one of those comedians (like Ellen) who has a reputation for being very soft and anodyne. But in reality their comedy is a bit harsher and “meaner” than they get credit for, because it comes wrapped in such an unassuming package. That’s part of why it works so well, imo.

A) Lorena was a victim of long-term abuse from her husband. Abuse has been clearly been shown to mentally affect victims. Listening to the description of how she was found, which is not just coming from her but multiple places, it should be pretty damn clear that her mental state was clearly not sound.

100% agree. I’m right on the boarder between gen-z and millennials (recently 22) but my younger sister is 18 and firmly in the gen-z camp and we talk about this stuff a lot. We joke and make snide comments because its all way to scary and pressing to look at face value.
