yeah, gems of war is the second best puzzle-quest-type game after this one, but that big update was a disaster. I led a guild and everything and now haven’t touched it in like a year.

Not millennials (who are 25+ now), gen z.

I mean... appearing in an Emmy sketch is hardly “swimming in his slime”

Same here. I’ve been using Excel and Notepad for pretty much all my list-making and task-tracking for... decades now, but Trello has finally supplanted them.

Welcome aboard! I bought one this weekend and haven’t been this excited about a console since... I was a kid I guess?

I wonder how the survey was conducted. I can’t help but imagine there’s a correlation between people who watch streaming media and people who don’t answer random landline calls.

Yes! And the theme gets carried through to Terranigma as well (and maybe Granstream Saga, though I don’t remember that one as well).

Same, I basically paid $20 to give myself a great cautionary Kickstarter tale.

This looks like fun. And only $4!

I need this but it’s too pricey for me. Has anyone tried any of the knockoffs on Amazon in the $20-30 range?

I have the same question. I want to use it on multiple personal computers but I don’t want to have to be signed into Steam every time.

Exactly this. I’m disappointed in Jezebel for so uncritically parroting this Radar tabloid nonsense.

I’ll admit I was relieved today when I saw the winter sale didn’t have timed flash deals and daily deals. Means I can do something with my vacation other than obsessively checking Steam every 8 hours. Like play my 300 game backlog!

Just commenting to back up your observation. I have also read Infinite Jest twice and I am insufferable as well. (And a librarian.)

I love it. I guess it's a matter of preference with the new art style and soundtrack vs. the old one. But the gameplay is soooo much smoother. The new room types and items open up a lot of new possibilities, too, even if you've sunk hundreds of hours into the old one like I have!

There are a lot of games I replay pretty often, but I only one I never stop playing (i.e., play at least a couple times a week): the Binding of Isaac. Especially with Rebirth out now!

I read so much Christopher Pike in late elementary school and middle school. I once made the mistake of writing a book report on one of them (Remember Me maybe?) and took great delight in recounting all the lurid details. When my English teacher called my parents to tell them about the "trash" I had been reading...

Yeah, as a South Carolinian, I empathize.

I don't mind struggling through buggy games. I love most games I play. But I couldn't get past "the save system is unclear." What?! This is a JRPG! Saving your game is the most important thing you do!

I feel you. The best is when your kids are sick and you just know that hammer's gonna fall soon and you'll get it too. Could be today, could be tomorrow... I'm there now.
