Why would BMW do this? Why? I know BMW have veered into overstyling in the last few years, but usually it’s just overstyled little details, rather than turning the whole front of the car into a collection of random creases and vents and arches and pouts...

There it is, that's the car I was going to post. I think it wins this debate easily. It is the only 4 door traditional sedan that still retains sporty driving dynamics and a perfectly balanced design.

Yup. If I needed a larger car, it would've been the 6. But I am a simple man, with affordable hooning needs, so I got a 3 hatch.

Glad someone posted about the 6. Like others I think it looks fantastic, especially considering the price. Local dealer has 30+ of 'em on the lot, including a silver base Sport three-pedal they'll let go for like $19k. So very tempting, for an appliance...

I have to agree with you a 100% on this. Imagine a Mazdaspeed 6 with fatter tires and some nice aero treatment, somewhere in the low 30k...

I think the reason is that it's well proportioned, compared to other modern sedans.
