Many posts here lament the title which insinuates that a lot of Nissan products sucked; I have to say that I agree with them. Nissan/Datsun was the first Japanese auto maker that cracked the nut of the sports car market in the late 60s to early 70s in the U.S. and world-wide with the Z's, which Mr. Katayama was

Man, this is very disturbing to say the least, not just because of the way the guys in the Camry were thrown out, but the reaction of the lookers on. They didn't seem to care until they realized the severity of the damage. So people are so used to seeing asshattery like that in SA? I mean, I love seeing guys do

Is this a question of whether electric cars are safe, or is it more of a question of the level of engineering/quality of the said vehicle?

Yeah, I see your point about the recent popularity of texting/fb/twitter etc eating up alot of people's attention/interests to where no one is really interested in cars as a medium for socializing,etc...I've echoed a similar idea in my post, which you have commented on. Thank you.

How truly correct you are!

Yeah, since there are those rich millionaires that ordered the $300k Juke R, I'm sure there are those that want the Peel R too, and be happy to pay $30k for one!( Peel with busa powertrain, suspension tuned by Lotus, yada yada)

I read in NatGeo that the Cro-Magnon people were able to spread from Africa to vast parts of Europe and beyond because of their ability to communicate and network with each other and share information. This was one of the abilities that were not shared with the Neanderthals. Cro-Magnons were far superior in their

Yep. those endearing 2-stroke engines! Honda has been on top of the game with the smaller 4-stroke engines even back when others were using the 2-stroke counterparts. They've been using the 4-strokers on their lawnmowers, blowers, etc. ever since I can remember. My first bike was a CB50, which was a lot easier on

No worries, English is not my first language, nor do I excel at composing it. I agree with your sliding scale bit, since if you happen to own a dinosaur Ford Station Wagon from the 70s with a slushbox, then my argument goes downhill!

NO, I mean that keeping an old car (or buying a used car for that matter) leaves no more environmental footprint, period. Buying a new car implies that the manufacturing of the said vehicle would leave environmental footprint, whether it's automatic or manual.

Yep. I love my stick shift. I think it's more unethical to just go out and buy a new car with an automatic than it is to use your current car that has a stick shift, at least in the eco-point-of-view, because it leaves a larger environmental footprint.

Yeah, it's hard to say what kind of people were killed in this incident. I just hate hearing about such gruesome death, and it's not a good trend in general. I think the US's war on drugs is costing the country too much money and resource and not enough results. I think the better way would be to make all the drugs

Damn the front-end crumple zone! I want one of these, or any of the old-school forward-control trucks and vans! I'll just make sure to wear bionic legs when I drive these things!

I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere in this post, but my condolence to the victims.

I used to have a 40min to an hour commute and I remember that sucked life out of my life!

Oh, when I first looked at the Apple/Microsoft combo, I thought, "Great! Now Hackingtosh is official!" Well, shit, life goes on...

Hey at least it's the pickup version! Kinda like where it is, otherwise just keep going on the flat black spray paint and cover the whole damn thing!

Now playing

Not sure if it was just one year, but the Isuzu Impulse Turbo is a car that I drooled after in the 80s. Would still love to have one today!

Funny! But really, that flat tire looks really sad:(

Seems to me an unrestored mini shouldn't cost this much, but heck, since there are enough crazy people that would pay $600k for the Juke R, I guess there is a market for it, especially in historic sense.
