Dang, the first time I looked at the Kia Forte, I thought they lifted design cues from the prev-gen Honda Civic, especially in the coupe guise!

Re: "So, um, it's a Chevy Volt with a grille the size of Montana."
I'm not particularly fond of ICP, but I can see why some folks love this thing called the Gathering of the Juggalos...I wonder how I'd felt had I been at one of those hippie gatherings in the 60's?
I don't see why this has to be 'flawed', dude. I mean, I get what you're saying: "CTS-V would be a lot more fun for an enthusiasts like us jalops, than a Corolla"...
My friend Ryan did that as well, just blowing the crap out of his air filter every 5000k or so. I'd say it's better than not replacing it at all, as long as the filter doesn't have too much dead bugs and twigs stuck to it!
The us version civics have been 'dumbed' down compared to the European equivalent for some time now. I don't know that the European civic would've sold well or made any sense in the US when it came out in 2006. It was based on the Fit, which wasn't sold in US at the time.
That buzzing sound of the motor from the interior is so impressive, I had to watch the whole video! The man, Monster Tajima, looks really relaxed when he's driving...maybe he and I share a common & unusual trait...I can go to bed listening to a soothing, rhythmical noise like cicadas buzzing and highway car noise.…

At first I thought the post was about drag racing in reverse.
Oh, I guess he was trying to color-coordinate his lips with the Camaro? But then again, he forgot the gold 'ribbon' on his head!
thanks for your story, Jstas. I feel well justified reading it, kinda like how I feel after watching the first The Crow movie.
This is really sad.
When we lived in Maryland back in the late 60s/early 70s, my dad was a young intern at NIH, and his boss, who drove a 914 Porsche, happily lent his wife's VW bug, to my parents ( I think she was about to buy another bug, so this was gonna be ours, with a monthly payment or whatnot ).
Man, when cars were cars, you'd dress for the occasion: wear goggles, helmet, proper foot gear, leather coat, etc.
RE: First Gear:
I agree, the next RX-* should be some kind of a hatchback/shooting brake. I used to drive around a loaner RX-7 for about a month, and was totally hooked. I loved the electric-motor-like buzz of the rotary, and the nimble characteristics. Anyhooo, years later, when the time came to make a new purchase about 5 years…
Wow, I think David E Davis would be proud, desu!
YES, I STOLE YOUR RETIREMENT
Mine is more of a flex-fuel system: I usually reserve my PBRs for when I'm biking to my local dive bar, which is about a couple of miles down the road. But when I'm riding to work every morning, I switch to 3 tablespoons of aloe vera juice mixed with a tablespoon of Bragg's organic vinegar and 8oz of water, followed…
