Dude.

This is horrible and wonderful, though I am left slightly sad by the lack of Spam.

Buuuuuut peanuts and jellybeans combined is (are?) better. Just... fyi.

If you have a camera that can see IR (most cell phones can and it is easy to check for) that might be another good option. A lot of surveillance type cameras have IR lights built in for “night vision”.

Yup. Good bragging rights in the office.

We do Costco/ Sams and it works pretty well.  Last year we racked up 824 kids and are expecting more this year.  Only giving out 1-2 pieces per kid helps too.

In a way, it’s fortunate the car landed upside down, as you can still see the front wheels spinning, suggesting they were still under power

Taking this totally at face value, I wonder if this is his carrier blowing smoke. Transportation brokers lie. They lie to you, they lie to the drivers, they lie to other brokers. I’ve had one tell me there was LITERALLY NO WAY a quote I got from a different broker was true and there was a 0% chance my car was going to

Agreed, though the 2nd was on-road.  The only reason I noticed is we were going through a lot of stop signs and it took more throttle than usual to get up to speed.

I’ve had two flats in my Land Rover and both have almost ended like this. The first the only reason I noticed a flat was because we’d stopped for unrelated reasons and saw the tire. The second I felt the weirdness you described and checked while at a stop sign. Neither time did I have any of the telltale signs of a

I had a white rental Impala once and for some reason everyone thought it was a police car. It was amazing. The left-lane hoggers were falling over themselves to get out of my way.  Best turnpike drive I’ve ever had.  Not sure I’d want to live that way all the time, but for a long drive with little traffic it was

I had to buy a couple vintage ones a couple of years back for a project. Can confirm $20 is an excellent price compared to what I had to pay.  Also I had no idea there were so many generations, variants, and knockoffs.

Just four angry hamsters.

+1 They’re always slightly slower and more expensive than their competitors.

like a DB9 from Earth 2

Reasonable addition to this bridge: Impact sensor that automatically informs local authorities when this shit happens.  I’ll admit that guy is already having a bad day, but he probably needs a ticket for that.

Mine first real accident was when I was 16 and driving my poor, long-suffering Saab 900. The main street through town was a 45 MPH “highway” with stop lights about every half mile. It was at one of these that my lane suddenly came to a stop. I hit the brakes and pulled up with plenty of room to spare but the woman

I was stuck behind a Q60 (?) coupe on the highway the other day.  I was impressed at how much it looked like an upmarket Miata.  Then I saw the front and I was impressed at how much it looked my my Boss’s 10 year old sedan.  So close to being a cool car but...

Woof. I had an intense friendship with a girl who would do that. She’d say that she was going to do it for [reason of the week] but if I told anyone she’d do it immediately. I’m not sure what the end game was there, TBH. One time she actually set a date, so I ended up having my parents talk to her parents while we

My Alfa was repossessed from the PO. This was in 2015, so someone financed a $4,000, 30 year old Italian convertible that was not in the best shape. People finance weird things...
