2020: Wearing a mask is a choice! You can wear a mask if you like; but you can’t make me wear one.
2024: I cannot be forced to sit next to someone wearing a mask! You wearing a mask is an attack on me!
The ABC’s of conservatism:
There’s a weird conservative tendency to think they are being attacked by simply being in a presence of someone who they assume has more liberal values than they do.
I am really, REALLY curious how someone else wearing a mask affects him.
“I refuse to sit next to someone who is considerate enough to wear a mask in public. I mean, what kind of twisted freak tries to limit the spread of contagions to others? Who does that?”
Anyone that is that insistent that they aren’t drunk is absolutely drunk. In other news, what an utter child.
Aw that’s too bad. I used to love watching Backyardigans with my nieces when they were little. I hated it wasn’t still airing when I had my own kids. It was such a fun little show that still managed to be culturally competent and representative of different races just using voices.
REST IN POWER.
My first comment was a joke about a panini. Jesus tapdancing Christ.
He's always been able to act, he just usually chooses not to bother.
I’m not really sure what’s going on with this but one thing I can lament is that former employees of the Trump administration are still getting jobs and being treated like serious people.
For dudes, anyway.
It’s cute that you think high level paparazzi are “working class.”
Anyone who has ever worked for Tyler Perry could have seen this coming from miles away.
Mary Trump had a good take on this:
In Season 2, Pizzolatto literally wrote the line, “I will come back here and butt f*ck your dad with your mom’s headless corpse.” I think whatever mantle he held regarding quality or “classic dialogue” ended right there. Also, so much of what made season 1 what it was the acting and direction. Many of the ideas were…
Coming from Pizzolatto I’d say it’s probably half misogyny, half egomaniac showrunner/control freak.
I can’t help wondering if there is some misogyny in this and a lot of other criticisms of the season. Honestly, it may be my favorite season of the show.
The people I know who are watching S4 don’t even know the creative team changed, they just know it got good again after 2 seasons they didn’t like. I tell them it’s a new creative team and they’re super surprised.
