That is really the problem. Whatever their differences, the various factions in the Democratic Party actually want the federal government to function and do things, if they may disagree on what those things are. Post-Trump, there are just too many Republicans who simply want to blow everything up.

All of this just underlines how very good Rep. Pelosi was when she was Speaker. Keeping Dems somewhat disciplined for years, and having that discipline hold even now, is impressive.
