My best friend in college was obsessed with this. We graduated in ‘93. 

I went through quite a bit when I didn’t book a gig at the theatre I’ve been with for years for this season. Like existential angst levels of despair. But between the catastrophic weather and COVID and canceled flights and the likelihood of canceled shows, I’m good.  

You can despise someone, like truly loathe them, and it can read as affection if it’s edited right. Richard Gere and Debra Winger hated each other but you wouldn’t know it by watching “An Officer and A Gentleman.” 

Man’s trash. He didn’t know her like that to be making fart jokes at her expense right from jump. He was looking to cut her down on day one, and for no reason except to pump himself up. And he’s lying. He knew he offended her because that is what he set out to do. 

My takeaway here is: this is not for me, and I’m glad I know that now.
