@MattMk2: Disregard him, NEEDS MORE STARCRAFT.

The large battles are a great novelty. The first time someone brought 50 battleships to a fight it was like "OMG BLOBBERS GET SOME REAL SKILL". Then it became common, and the next biggest "blob" was 150, then it was 300, and so on.

So, what kind of girls and scenery can we expect for the 12am to 5am time block?

@Flike: The wheel was probably a shield, or a fancy hat that people realized would move on its own for great distances if dropped a certain way. Hell, it might've been an early pooper scooper for cave dwellers.

@Alchemistmerlin: Oh I know, I have no doubt that North America at least will fail miserably in this regard.

Oh damn, there goes half of Canada's air force :V

@tj: You're a computer engineer whose never handled recursion before?

You can get a lot of leadership and organizational skills from being one of those neckbeards who manage or command player guilds and organizations in MMOs or gaming communities. I know most games I play involve interaction with others as the primary focus.

Physical media are so last century. The only thing keeping them alive in this one is older generations and the anemic efforts of ISPs in many parts of the world.

Well, not sure what to say except duh?

The case can be made for documents and videos that are too secret to release. Easily. But without civilian oversight, no one knows for sure. It could simply be dirty laundry as part of regular operations that the military doesn't want everyone else to know.

I wonder if they'll coat it with a gold-like finish.

@halfthought: See my reply to Josh, there is a way to do it that isn't so anti-consumer.

@Josh: Region switching might also force you to opt out of ranked games entirely. So you can never have US vs Euro vs Korea and so on. And region switching is a half hearted 'maybe' post on battle.net forums - no solid plan or timetable at the moment.

@VyseTheQuick: I'm not complaining about the quality of the game; see my first line. Both my complaints are about the business practices.

@fupa17: As a legitimate buyer, I might wanna use Hamachi to play with people in other regions.. now that B.Net is region locked. And as a legitimate buyer, I might want LAN support for gaming on a LAN - useful if you're behind restrictive port blocking (think dorms and such).

I've been playing the beta, and its easily more fun and balanced than 95% of the games that are released. The major problem I have is the two-pronged BS-ing campaign by Blizzard.

@NorwoodIsMyHero: Apparently you underestimate the power of ignorance.

@Alex_Mexico: This surprises you? The fact that this article is even news at all surprises me. I'd have figured this was standard practice for *every* remotely popular show, game, movie or manga release.

Why would you need to plant spies to affect American policy? Doesn't the telecommunications industry do this ten times better with astroturf and fake analytics? Just scream FREE MARKET! FREE MARKET! until the government does what you want it to; don't worry about it making sense comrades!
