How about we compromise and just push for harder punishment for *proven* offenders? Way too many rapists get away with just a slap on the wrist for ridiculous reasons. Brock Turner was just one well-publicized example.

If there was ever a time when it didn’t, I never knew it. All this time I thought it was a kinja “feature.”

Especially if the daughters are hot pieces of ass who would be dating their fathers if they weren’t related.

Aww, now I want to know.

I don’t want to get too spoilery here, but I saw the movie last night and I didn’t think she was ludicrously inept; she was just out of her element in more ways than one.

Exactly. My point is there’s no need to hate on the dog owners for bringing their dogs on the plane. The passenger who ended up being removed neglected *her own* responsibility regarding (supposedly) her own life.

I don’t understand all the hate you’re getting. The dogs’ owner/s, regardless of whether they were pets, service animals or emotional support animals, *made arrangements* to fly with their animals, and SWA allowed them; they weren’t breaking any rules or infringing on anyone’s rights. If anything, the plane would

Of course there are life-threatening allergies, but those of us who suffer them make sure to, say, contact the airline to make sure we won’t be exposed, and if we forget to do it and it turns out something that may cause us to have an allergic reaction is already on the plane, we get off the plane immediately, because

But I need a subscription to read the whole article, boo!

I’d say in speaking it’s become usual to say “latinos y latinas,” despite the pushback from language purists pointing out “latinos” includes both genders. In writing, “latinxs” saves space, and looks a hell of a lot better than the abomination that is “latin@s.”

And because of what Manny said, Spanish speakers in the Mayan region pronounce X as SH.

It turns out it’s more reputable than the LA Times AND Gizmodo when it comes to citing official sources regarding Frida’s record. But fine, forget about SinEmbargo, and let’s throw in The Atlantic to the mix, via Quartz:

But the LA Times got it wrong. The 50+ lives saved figure was provided by the Mexican Navy; 12 of those rescues have been in the last two weeks alone. The video showcased in this very post says Frida has saved over 50 *lives.*

It’s too bad I’m not verified here, because it’s unlikely anyone will see this, but Mexico’s Marina Armada (the Mexican Navy), of which Frida is a member, officially reports Frida as having saved 56 lives in her career, of which 12 have been in both the September 7 and 19 earthquakes in Mexico. So actually the LA

No, but she’s a member of Mexico’s Marina Armada- the Navy.

El País (Spain) and SinEmbargo.mx, which are both very reputable sources, both independently report that Frida has saved over 50 lives, just 12 of which were in the September 8 earthquake in Chiapas, Mexico.

This was a much, MUCH better piece of advice than the one in the article. Thank you.
