I’d say in speaking it’s become usual to say “latinos y latinas,” despite the pushback from language purists pointing out “latinos” includes both genders. In writing, “latinxs” saves space, and looks a hell of a lot better than the abomination that is “latin@s.”

El País (Spain) and SinEmbargo.mx, which are both very reputable sources, both independently report that Frida has saved over 50 lives, just 12 of which were in the September 8 earthquake in Chiapas, Mexico.
