I've always maintained that Al Green is the voice of god. No one else can convey the spiritual and sensual with such warmth and depth. If we have to have a God, he should sound like Al Green.

Yeah, I got so excited reading this that I stopped everything to put on the single. I am…underwhelmed. Really hoping the album has some gems. Their DJ sets on youtube are amazing.

I suppose this is entertaining if you're too young to remember what Depeche Mode looked like when they first came out. Initially, they were seen by the industry as clean-cut bubblegum synth from Essex. They didn't get into S&M until Martin Gore (the curly-headed blonde in the back) took over songwriting from Vince

I have to say I'm surprised by all the comments writing off social media. I mean, I'm a total curmudgeon who barely uses social media because of all the yahoos, but even I can see its value to professional entertainers seeking to engage audiences by any means necessary. Colbert's twitter account gained such a

Nope. That robot is not adorable. Not cute at all.

Has the link between victims becoming abusers been disproved, or is there just a lack of statistically significant evidence that there is a link? I imagine it would be very difficult to study victims becoming offenders without some degree of re-traumatizing victims.

I found the article…the gist is that Mia is a well-meaning but poorly informed crusader and a narcissistic celebrity. That's probably true in a lot of ways, but that doesn't let Woody off the hook for some pretty heinous allegations. Ronan is doing what any good brother/son would do in that situation and sticking up

Not quite Dawes-level pandering, but still disappointing from Alex McCown. This is the "zenith" of derivative retro synth tracks? Really?

This is interesting. Up to now I held Winter and HBO jointly responsible for Boardwalk Empire never quite living up to its promise (which was immense): HBO for failing to support any show that's not Game of Thrones and Winter for giving up on a superior show to make an inferior one. I have a bit of schadenfreude

Cool World has to be on that list.

It is ;-)

Plus worst case scenario, if Drumpf or Cruz start slinging mud, she could unleash her own 'trump card' - her former President husband - to take them down without having to get her hands dirty. Even chauvinists who don't like the idea of a woman president would like the idea of Bill defending her and being by her side

Agreed. The best stuff in the book was right up to when he met Johnny Marr. I liked Control a lot, so I think this might actually turn out okay.

Plus he can't dance! That was the one area I expected him to deliver, but so far: [sad trombone]

Katya and Willam are the best proof of this.

Alright, I'll go to bat for Boardwalk Empire, because it didn't become an Oedipal drama, nor did it trap Margaret with Nucky. I didn't like every direction it took in successive seasons, but I think it stayed consistently watchable (thanks to the cast, more than the writers) right up to the end of season 4. Season 5

Yup, this smacks of covert advertising. The song is a total snooze.

That's what I thought it was a reference to (as I turbo tapped through it), since Frankie is 'a squealer'

He's within my grasp!

I ditched it for a period in summer of '14, I think, and completely missed out on the Stonecutters event. I'm far enough in the game that it (usually) doesn't take too much time, but I'm paranoid about events now. That's how they keep you hooked!
