Unity gets a lot of shit because it was shit at launch. Runs much better now, but still has issues.

I find it ironic that people that are supposed to like video games insist on dumping on AC Unity, which is easily the apex of the series, the last moment before it became an inferior witcher knockoff with dull side quests, a giant empty expanse, and enemies that took at least 500 smacks with a dull weapon to kill.

I have a feeling Avatar 2 getting pushed back had nothing to do with COVID-19.

If Avatar 2 is PG-13 then 13 year olds in 2022 who weren’t even born in 2009 when the first Avatar came out, will be able to see it

“But how are you doing?

“Well, we’re dead and we’re in Hell.”

Disney+ Bossperson: “Get me a Lando Calrissian show.”

This is the real Tenet.

We have to accept that we’re never going back to movie theaters this year.

I suspect Lord and Miller might have been caught up in the whole TLJ imbroglio... ie the studio started to panic when so many people protested about the film (including, in his own sly way, Mark Hamill himself), and the studios, and perhaps KK herself, over corrected.

Donald Glover needs an 8 part series called Lando on Disney+. That would be money well spent.

I can’t even find my way out of the greys and I’ve been here for 7 years :(

I think there is a significant element being left out when comparing The Force Awakens to Solo. TFA wasn’t just the first SW film since the Disney acquisition; it was the first entirely new SW cinematic story since Return of the Jedi.

With regard to Lord and Miller, I didn’t mean to diminish their previous successes but, let’s face it, they were effectively “moving up” when given the chance to make a Star Wars film.

My strong feeling is that if they are going to keep making new Star Wars stuff, they should let sleeping dogs lie and focus on new characters and stories, like “The Mandalorian”.

This article seems to forget that Solo was still in theaters when Infinity War came out. I’m sure that didn’t help it’s box office take.

Nobody asked for it.

As strange as it may seem, I feel like the modern history of Star Wars is like a graduate-level study of how fan service can be done well (Rebels, Rogue One, The Mandolorian) and poorly (TFA, Solo, TROS.). It really requires a light, deft touch, and a deep love of worldbuilding. You have to know the difference between

I think Solo’s biggest issue was it was a victim of the “Sad Puppy” like movement that was in full swing after The Last Jedi. There were groups actively pushing to boycott it to teach Disney and Kennedy a lesson. Even though Solo turned out to be exactly what they wanted (a safe, fun, mostly harmless entry into SW

You know, after rewatching it myself it dawned on me that Han was pretty much a second fiddle in his own film, but that didn’t really bother me since it was kind of about him coming into his own, which he did by the end of the movie.
