Ugh yeah I rejoined with my personal training gym and am focusing on eating better. I usually only eat one big meal a day and maybe have a light nibble earlier.

Oooh I love home offices. It makes me feel so adult. I hope you arrange things so it is comfortable and productive!
I am finally well enough (dealing with an insane amount of stress, anxiety, etc.) to take on full-time work. However, I am also dealing with taking my impending GRE which I’ve been procrastinating on for over a year.
What’s Glow? I’m so behind on these things it’s pathetic. I’m seriously rewatching Season 4 of GOT and playing phone games as a break from writing. I’m a happy misanthrope but whatevs.
That sounds really interesting. I wish you good fortune with your writing and cannot wait to hear more about it.
In that picture above, Tony Hawk kinda reminds me of Ryan Lochte gone to seed. Strange resemblances.
If I get a publishing deal, I will give Jez the exclusive for everything *crosses fingers fervently*
I’m excited by relaxing, getting some sleep and going to work tomorrow. I’ve made some headway this weekend with my writing, and I finished the last class I will take until grad school. It’s been hectic but good.
That’s so awesome - you should be really proud of yourself. Let me offer my preemptive congratulations.
Good luck on your dissertation - I’m hoping one day to join that crowd. I hope your writing is going well.
That’s really cool. And for what it’s worth, the premise of your last book sounds really interesting too. I’m focusing on several semi-overlapping storylines so I suppose it’s easier to interweave a series of vignettes rather than focusing on telling one singular tale.
That sounds really, really awesome! I am oddly drawn to historical fiction, particularly anything set in the south.
That sounds like a really interesting premise - I hope it goes well. I know that feeling - I was working on a few different manuscripts that never really gained traction, but with this one, it just feels right. I’m doing a lot of research and refreshing my mind about certain details, so I definitely hope I am able to…
I have three serious manuscripts I’m working on, though I have a few more that I’ve written in the past. Two are loosely autobiographical but the historical fiction piece is most riveting - it also allows me some escapism, since what I’m dealing with (which is why I have two + autobiographical pieces at the moment) is…
Antiquity, actually. It’s been pleasant thus far.
I miss my Dad’s friend’s show - he would do a private one and there wouldn’t be any crowds or bad traffic. I’m waffling about going to watch the fireworks but I’m so loathe to leave the couch and possibly interact with other humans that I can’t make a decision.
I’m holed up at home writing one of my manuscripts and marathoning GOT since my husband’s busy. I can barely move (thanks, personal training!) but at least I’m inspired. And my professor strongly believes I have a novel that will sell on my hands - she wants me to shop it around now but I’m overly cautious. Oh well -…
It’s weird - I can have a reasonable period and the worst ones in the world (I used to throw up when I was a tween and first got my period, it was awful). Lately it alternates, but the past ones have been pretty debilitating - I want to work out tomorrow morning but I’m not sure I’ll feel up to it since our personal…
Thank you for the tips! I do need to work on my timing, but I know that will come with experience. I had these horrifying thoughts about having a tampon shove too far and being unable to get it out, so I will try to stick to pads (although I haven’t really worn any in public since I was a teen).
Awwww I love that aquarium! And kayaks around the Bay will be awesome - firstly because I LOVE kayaking and also because you will definitely have some seals (or sea lions? and otters) as friends while you paddle. That sounds like so much fun!
