Good shows took advantage of the longer seasons by developing characters and a larger world. And also some one-off episodes are just plain fun. Person of Interest and Fringe are both shows that would have been worse off with shorter seasons.

Not Dead Yet being cancelled is a little bit disappointing - it wasn’t the sharpest sitcom but it had a great cast overall and was a pleasant watch.

It’s been over ten years but I’m still a bit angry at how poorly Beverly was treated by Lindsay and Sarah in S9.

I really don’t understand the thinking behind some of the challenges this season. Having an extra chef is a huge advantage and not one the chefs on the winning team earned. Between the iffy challenges and the calibar of cooking we’ve seen, it really doesn’t seem like this season was well-produced.

Does she mention what specifically she thinks she couldn’t have done today?

Pretty much this. There was one season of Wolverine and the X-Men and one season of X-Men anime since Evolution ended.

Hmm...as a fan of both, I’ve never really thought of them as similar in the way you’re positioning them. Like in the years when Marvel had way too many shows, I never felt like the new seasons of Mandalorian were adding to that feeling of being overstuffed on superheroes. But that could just be me.

I kind of find this to be a minor nitpick personally. Most of the Phase 4 movies barely reference the shows, if at all. And the ones that do, you can easily figure out what is going on by watching a short YouTube primer or asking a friend for a one to two sentence summation like “Wanda went crazy from grief after

I think it’s a little funny Star Wars isn’t in the same conversation. I know it’s a different franchise, and not strictly superheroes, but fantasy spectacle movies kinda share the same airspace.

Natasha Leggaro was great in the roasts she was in too - she was by far the best at Bieber’s roast.

I went in wanting to like it as I’ve generally liked Mulaney’s standups and SNL work but agree with this review - it wasn’t very funny and mostly just came off as strange.

Just watched this movie and spoiler alert....

The trailers made the movie look like a lot of fun but I would have never guessed it cost $130m to make.

Maybe they’re going to do three restaurants of three chefs each this year? They seem to be twisting the formula a bit this season.

Why was Brittney Snow a guest judge? Like I get her showing up as a part of the voting panel as the show always weaves in whatever celebrities it can get. But they had Voltaggio and Amar - they had no need for her to be a final judge as well.

The release schedule is lame. In their efforts to avoid weekly releases of new episodes, they’ve managed to find something much worse that has the same end result of waiting months to finish a season but with bigger gaps between episodes.

Any word on when the second season of The Rehearsal is coming out?

Personally I’d love to hear more about the Weird Al movie from Radcliffe.

I like all of Mad Men and have rewatched it many times but I actually would have S3 pretty low on my list of Mad Men seasons as I never have liked the Conrad Hilton stuff.

IMO, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and The Wire are three shows where the best seasons are all S4. The Shield I would argue S5 is the best one. Justified it’s either S2 with the Bennetts or S4 with the mystery (although S3 is no slouch).
