If you’re a famous guy, it is best to be a standup person, follow the laws of the country you’re in as well as rules of basic decency, and treat everyone who works for you with professionalism. Really don’t understand why people feel the need to stick up for people fortunate enough to make millions to act or play

That’s odd to me - I live in a nice suburban area as well and there’s a Meijer (IMO fairly equivalent to Target) and Walmart next to each other close by where I live. The Walmart is a disaster zone compared to Meijer and I never consider shopping there.

But, on the other hand, Axios points out that WBD-owned Turner Sports and Paramount-owned CBS Sports currently share broadcasting duties for March Madness, so combining those two brands into one company would streamline things for college basketball fans. So that’s cool.

Zelda was my favorite game overall this year as I loved almost every aspect of it and never got bored playing it. Spent a few months after its release hoping for DLC like the first game got but believe the developers ended up saying they had no plans for it.

I have never understood why people do this. The same sort of insane lines and waits existed for Shake Shack when they first opened up in my state. A week or so later, hype had fallen off a cliff and it operated like a normal fast food chain again.

TJ Miller comes to mind. In the mid-2010s, he was a regular cast member on a very successful HBO show (Silicon Valley), was regularly in a handful of movies every year including some big franchises, and regularly toured his stand-up with a couple of specials produced. Plus he did voices on commercials too. It’s not

Maharshala Ali has been cast as Blade for some time now but who knows when or if that movie will be made.

I think Marvel publicly firing Majors within minutes of his guilty verdict being made public means they have zero interest in giving him any additional screen time or the opportunity to make a graceful exit.

I had a similar thought about Lars in this episode. He’s such a cartoonishly bad person and partner while Indira is consistently tough and no-nonsense. There is something missing in the show to explain why she puts up with him and puts herself into terrible debt to support dreams she clearly knows will never pan out.

A friend of mine works for a law firm that got hacked and they paid the ransom demand asked. He said that their partners went to the FBI for help when it first happened and their advice was to just pay it since it was a reasonable amount as US enforcement agencies have little recourse in dealing with offshore hackers

I feel terrible for the developers and employees - they clearly wanted some of these reveals to be surprises that come with great fanfare and that is partially ruined now. And they should also be able to keep the plot / gameplay secrets they want to withhold as secrets until the game comes out. Obviously should not

I like the US version of Ghosts quite a bit.

I think most people would agree with you. Most of these writers are just regurgitating content from other sites and often what they choose to quote or comment on misrepresents the actual article for the sake of sarcasm that adds nothing of substance.

My impression from reading this is that the author was comparing PE’s orange chicken to General Tso’s from another takeout place - which would make sense as orange chicken is pretty much just a variation of General Tso’s.

My comment before was only referring to the theatrical returns. I don’t know how the movies are doing / will do on streaming or how Apple calculates their value there. I also don’t know how much Apple values winning awards or prestige. Netflix was making similarly high-price movies that barely got theatrical releases

Neither is a success from a theatrical box office standpoint - people have just conceded that some of their value may come from drawing viewers / subscribers to streaming eventually.

Yea typically when I do go to theaters, it’s when I have taken a random day off and can catch an early afternoon matinee by myself. Not only is the theater empty, but it’s also cheaper.

I’ve gone from going to 10-15 movies a year in theaters to going to 3-4. It’s just not a great experience anymore. I dislike that showtimes no longer mean when a movie starts but instead means when an unspecified amount of trailers begin - I’ve seen movies where the trailers air for 30+ minutes. I dislike having to

I’d be pissed if I was a patron of this restuarant and other diners’ idiocy led to a great, classic dish being removed as an option. Carbonara is a specific dish and if people don’t want that specific dish, they should order something else.

Good for you dude but in reality you’re pretty deluded if you think your absence is going to impact a high-end restaurant one bit. Majority of people who go to upscale restaurants understand that they’re paying a premium for a renowned chef to cook food in their own unique way. If you want to build your own pasta,
