I have stones for sheep!

Horrible overspray on that hacked paint job. Atrocious!

I hate cases. Despise them. I want to bareback all of my electronic devices. I hate the way that any phone or tablet feels in my hand if there is some chunky piece of plastic junk wrapped around it. Screen protector, those are okay. Adhesive skins, those are cool. Case? Forget it. I hate them. The device is already

I'm a standing desk convert as well.

Is this like "how many licks does it take to get to the center" science?

I know the flavors would pair well, but there is something visceral about the hard crunchy apple and the soft creamy peanut butter, and I'm concerned about soft dried apple pieces being able to scoop peanut butter. If I need to pack a spoon in order to eat my snack, I'm less likely to eat my healthy snack and more

Does Neil Gaiman count as Fantasy or SF? I'd put him on the list if you could count him as SF. Tough call.

I'll nominate anything by Michael Z Williamson. You will not be disappointed. He's a vet, he spins a good yarn, good imagination, and isn't a prude about sex scenes.

I love to make fun of Apple.

By your definitions, the Kindle3 is the best e-reader:

Your second point is false or poorly stated, inasmuch as you claim that the Nook can handle .pdf while implying that the Kindle cannot. Kindle can handle .pdf, and I have no trouble taking .pdf files and copying them directly to my Kindle as a usb drive and then reading/displaying them later. I have Calibre, but find

I rate this "clever use" as a substantial waste of good parchment paper, but that is based on how quickly my family can go through a whole pack of tortillas. If I were single and just wanted a tortilla "every now and then", this would probably be a nifty idea.

I would hope that they keep longer than "a few days".

I bareback all of my electronic gadgets.

That cord is for an engine block heater. Occasionally there will be other auxiliary heaters also. Best heater is a freeze plug block heater installed to the engine block. Much more reliable than an oil pan heater, and if the engine isn't frozen solid (and you're not running some straight 50wt oil) then even a cold

Battery warmer? Never used one. Seriously. I've visited -40F only on rare occasions. From talking to friends who have lived in those temperatures, it is easier to just bring the battery inside.

My experience is based on living in Alaska, where it drops to -10F or worse and STAYS that way for WEEKS at a time.

Modified Cornell system. Thats what I did all through undergrad, grad, and professional schools. I went through reams of that parchment-thin green grid "Engineer Graph Paper", always giving my self an extra 2" left margin and keeping outline-format notes on the right-hand 2/3 of the page.

This is so true, but so many people don't bother.

I love you!
