Nope, no racing history at all....

But they don't have a racing history greater than BMW or Jaguar. It shouldn't be on the list.

The S65 V8 is an amazing engine, but it absolutely has no power under 4k rpm. I'm glad they went to a turbo 6. A 7600rpm redline isn't anything to sneer at. Also I'd bet if you didn't know about the sound in the speakers you could never tell.

Well you did have an older generation Suburban on the show so I can understand you having a soft spot for this one. ;)

That's subjective. I think the Escalade looks 100x better than the melting front end of this.

Chris Bangle and his design team is solely responsible for BMWs success. Whether you like his designs or not you have to admit that.

Mainly the injured. Casualties don't mean number of people dead, but can also mean number of people injured and otherwise affected by the event.

There's no real way to tell without looking under the hood. From factory they did have M badges on the grill and trunk lid.

I completely agree with you. It's an appliance I'd buy for my daily traffic riddled commute. And leave my fun car for the weekends.

It's the inline six which makes it that heavy. Go with the 228i and it comes in around 3200lbs.

This is a pre-alpha product. Google has been deploying self driving cars in CA for the last couple of years, with no problems yet. I'm sure as they keep on developing the mapping technology and everything else evolved they'd be able to do just that. This is a godsend for disabled people. I don't get why you're mad.

But the whole point of autonomous cars are to get those types of people who view driving as a chore out of the drivers seat.

Thanks for calling me an asshole. You know you can be an automobile enthusiast and be for autonomous cars.

Then I guess I should sell my BRZ then since apparently I don't like cars.

You honestly think self driving cars won't be able to drive alongside normal ones? Google has been doing it for the past couple years in CA. Really this isn't anything new besides taking out the wheel and pedals. And the only record of accidents with self driving cars so far were caused by human error of other cars

It's like the Nexus 5 of self driving cars. It sets the baseline for what self driving cars should be able to do. I doubt Google will be the one to produce the production car.

I want this future. The ability to commute to work, without the stress of driving. And have my sports car for the weekends. If you enjoy driving in traffic you're a masochist.

Musk is the top shareholder of Tesla. He's invested around 27% of his 5 billion dollar net worth.

Cue the Luddites.

As long as they're still making an M2/3/4/5/6 and offer RWD and a manual option BMW can make as many of these as they want.
