At the time when Faraday was on the Island, he was still of the belief that "whatever happened, happened" so I believe his thinking was that the bomb needed to be buried because that is the way it always happened. In his words, if they try to change the past, "we will fail, every time."

I'd agree that this wasn't Hurley's finest hour; even in the darkest times, he'd still try to find a way to help people and bring a little hope to the group. But he is plenty capable of making us feel the sorrow too. The scene you mentioned from Season 3 is one, especially if you know how that ends. And the

I'm with you 100% on that, I didn't watch the show for the first couple of seasons, but I caught up in syndication and then watched to the end. Don't remember much about those final seasons either, but definitely not a fan of that finale. I think I've watched one episode since it ended.

I remember Three Stories now after reading the description of the episode, but in no way is it as memorable as Walkabout or the Lost Pilot. Didn't Lost win a bunch of Emmys for Season 1 though? Maybe the Emmy voters didn't want them to get a clean sweep.

The Little Prince: Back to the Oceanic 6, headlined by Kate's trying to protect Aaron, but there is plenty of excitement to be had on the Island as well. It seems that off the Island, everyone is going on the offensive. Kate has decided to finally meet with the lawyer, Dan Norton. Sun is ready to go after Ben

Jughead: So now Season 5 starts to take shape as the remaining castaways head to 1954, while Desmond heads for Oxford once again, alone with now wife Penny and son Charlie (a very nice tribute to the departed hero). I thought it was very cool to see the travel through key moments in Island history, starting with

It has come to my attention that NBC sucks. I apologize for misleading you and urge you to watch as many FOX shows as possible. So in summary, NBC bad, FOX good…(quickly) CBS great.

"Aren't we forgetting something, Marge? You were down fifty-hundred dollars."

"I'd kiss you, but Doctor says I'm sick."

You'd better believe that's a paddlin'.

*****Random Lost question to pass the time between reviews…

I gotta go Super Mario RPG as well, that game was so cool and the ending is fantastic. I badly wanted to see a sequel for it before they stopped making games for SNES.

You make good points about Jack, his best moments in the series come when he does have a purpose. It's one of my favorite things about the Pilot, his eye opens and BAM!-snaps into action. Could he have been happy off the Island, marrying Kate and raising Aaron? Only if he had done what he promised: get everyone off

Didn't someone (I'm thinking Ben) say around Season 3 or 4, "I used to have dreams"? Maybe that's the Island pull, somehow reaching into young Locke's sub-conscious and showing him images of Smokey.

I watched it twice that first week…my Lost obsession was probably at an all-time high for Seasons 5 and 6. I don't think I saw every hour of Season 5 multiple times as it was airing, but Season 6 definitely because ABC was getting all the mileage it could out of it. I'm looking forward to recapping the rest of these

Because You Left/The Lie: As we start Season 5, things are getting truly weird. Opening with Pierre Chang is very cool, but then going down in the Orchid and seeing that donkey wheel again, followed by Daniel Faraday(!), now we're in a different place than any of the previous four seasons.

Hey again, just wanted to let you know we're moving on to Season 5 on Wednesday. I would really love to see your thoughts on the individual episodes for the later seasons. I read your Community review for early Season 5 of that show, and it was fantastic, so I'm sure you would come up with some great stuff for Lost.

Like @avclub-f8063f1b0b35246aaecc6911f3981d81:disqus, I wanted to share some random thoughts about Lost before we go on to Season 5. I've been looking back at some of the Classic reviews from last year and there's some interesting tidbits there. One that got me thinking was from @mattepntr:disqus, who thought it

Hey, if you'd still like to keep talking about the remaining seasons, several of us are still going on every Wednesday, at the end of this comments section. Season 5 starts Sept. 9th.

Just wanted to give you another update: still a small group of us discussing the show and we'll be moving on to Season 5 this Wednesday, September 9. Feel free to chime in on that or any of our reviews for Season 4, they are at the end of the comments section.
