I know I have said this before, but I can't wait to discuss Season 3, and Tricia Tanaka is Dead is one particular episode that I think is not only great fun to watch, but should be a blast to discuss as well. I'm in that great stretch of the middle of Season 3 where everything just gets back to that Season 1 feeling

I think it's definitely fair to say that how one watches Lost can affect their overall opinion of it, but I also wonder how many people would be binge-watching it if that didn't suddenly become so popular.

"This episode was one of several that began turning Sawyer from the guy I initially hated in season 1 in to one of my favorite characters."

Thanks for posting this list, that's the kind of response I was hoping for (maybe I was expecting too much, lol) but unfortunately, I wasn't able to respond earlier. I've been thinking some about this, and it could always change as the recaps continue, but here's my list:

Since the general opinion is that this is one of the show's low points, how about a discussion of some high points as well? Spanning the whole series, if you could only pick one episode to say this is (blank)'s finest hour, what episode would you pick?

***SPOILER***

I can understand why some people find "The Moth" silly upon a second viewing, but other than the Boone/Shannon flashback, I found most every flashback in Season 1 to be an exhilarating ride as we got to know all these characters in the early going. The first season was all about building up the castaways, so breaking

This is a minor detail, but I remember Kate gathering fruit for everyone, and helping Sun get the garden going. Jack pointed out that this would be a good thing considering that the boar seemed to be running thin, but that was in Season 1 before they knew about any hatches or food drops.

All right, I'll ask it: who's your choice for best character/best actor?

I saw a video on Tuesday discussing The End, and the hosts were talking about plots that didn't work out, and one of them mentioned that Malcolm David Kelley's parents pulled him off the show after Season 1. That was the first time I had ever heard of that, I had always thought it was because he was growing too fast

I've seen a couple of videos where Lost came up after the show ended, and she kind of shut it down, but I think that was more a case of she doesn't want that to be all that she is. She has those children's books that she's publishing, and she has stated that acting was not her dream.

It's great to be talking about it in a group again, I didn't get to do that nearly enough as Lost approached the endgame. And hey, if the last season or the ending bothers you, you're entitled to that opinion. Everyone has their reasons for liking/disliking it. But we should be able to remember all the good times,

It's just uncomfortable to watch…I would probably rate it below Stranger in a Strange Land at this point. I wouldn't say I hate it, but if I was going to skip any episodes during my rewatch, that would be a candidate. Why Locke is so quick to judge Charlie when he hasn't known him that long doesn't ring true to me.

Definitely one of the better Treehouse of Horror episodes in recent years, "School of Hell" was my favorite of the three segments. Felt more like THOH's of the past. And I gotta say, even though it's early in the season, Year 26 is off to a pretty good start, only Clown in the Dumps was a meh episode so far.

Believe it or not, I'm actually kind of looking forward to Stranger in a Strange Land, as it's next on my re-watch. Partly because these discussions get me excited to watch more Lost, and partly because after that episode, there's nothing but awesome remaining in Season 3.

Definitely better than Boone's, but I would disagree on Charlie and Claire. Raised by Another was the best Claire-centric hour (not much to choose from though), but I loved The Moth and the flashbacks to Charlie's time in Drive Shaft. This is assuming that you're comparing the first flashbacks of each character.

They sure did, but maybe a little too much though, since the writers seemed to use all the best material in Season 1. I kinda wish they had kept it as strictly a summer show, those first seven episodes were the best in the whole run, such a rush.

Thanks for the info…I don't have either of those systems, so I guess I won't be playing it anytime soon. Don't they have emulators online as well, so you could play it on a laptop?

I remember really loving Collision as it aired in 2005, and I still think it's a good episode, highlighted especially by the montage and "The Gathering". But these recaps have given me some new perspective on all the episodes that have been covered so far, and now I'm thinking maybe Collision doesn't belong on a list
