Hurley was more of a leader than he ever realized, these two episodes were a perfect example of that. He knew that everyone was at their breaking point, and what better idea than to whack a little ball around for a few hours? It relaxed Jack, which was critical for everyone because he needed to be able to focus on

Another note about "Solitary", Myles:

The Hurley-Sawyer-Jin scenes in Tricia Tanaka are great, but that episode came before Expose. I will definitely agree with you on Hurley and Miles though, they proved to be one of the best duos in the later seasons.

Sayid was one of the most prominent characters in Season 1. Like you said, he's very busy within the group, organizing people to get food and water, starting the signal fire, the transceiver of course, and various other tasks. I've always thought he wanted to be the alpha male of the group, and was a little jealous

That's a great point. I would say "Expose", despite the mixed bag of opinions from the audience, is probably the last episode of the series that just feels fun. Maybe it's because it is one hour you can watch without worrying about the big picture. It's always been one of my favorite episodes, not because of Nikki

Agreed on Sayid, he really blended into the background a lot more after Season 1. I'm in the middle of Season 2 now, and I realize that with the Tailies being integrated into the story, some of the main characters had to step back, but Sayid (and Claire) faded WAY back. I just finished "One of Them" last week, and

That's one of the biggest differences between this show and The Leftovers, a character like Hurley. Whether it's the Giacchino music, the visuals, or the characters, there's always something in Lost that represents hope, and that started from the beginning. I realize that we're only two episodes into The Leftovers,

It's funny, looking back on Lost now, how quickly the show addressed the Frenchwoman after bringing it up in the pilot. I figured that Rousseau was someone who probably would not be introduced until much later; then again, I also thought that when the show was in its later seasons, it would probably consist of Jack

Ooh, now there's a dilemma. I'd say slight edge to Sawyer since I get more laughs out of hearing it from him. Can't go wrong with either one.

Yeah, Renee Walker was one of the highlights of Seasons 7-8, and I do wish she hadn't been killed off because of what came after. I guess part of me is still seeing Strahovski as Sarah Walker, and it's hard not to think of her as anything but awesome.

That sounds great, no wasted subplots or unnecessary love interests…it would be nice to see more shows doing that. Not every TV show has to be about who ends up with who in the end.

Agreed 1000 percent. Any future 24 needs to have Yvonne, she's just too good to kill off after one season.

LOL, Don't forget Sawyer…he was the other fake-out in the coffin for those end of Season 4 scenes. (I can't remember if those were deleted scenes from the DVD, or if they were online)

It would be nice to see some sort of callback to Season 1 though, someone referencing Palmer or maybe Jack comes across something that reminds him of Palmer. Coming full circle just in case the unthinkable happens…

I don't know, Gavin has seemed shady to me from the beginning. Every time they ask him to do something, he always has a reason why it won't get done immediately. Probably too much of a background character to factor into the endgame, but who knows at this point.

She's been great in this role, as she was previously on Chuck. I would love to see her continue on as Kate Morgan if Sutherland decides he's had enough and the producers want to keep going.

If you have DirecTV, they're re-running the seasons Tuesday-Thursday nights at 7 PM ET on their Audience channel. Season 2 is currently running now, and it's as good as I remember.

So true.

Next week is going to be epic…I expect we'll see more than one major cast member die. Hoping that Jack will continue to "live another day" but who knows. I just saw an episode from Day 2 when he's saying good-bye to Kim in the plane, it's moments like that that make me want to see him continue on.

Every single Ben-centric episode is amazing, I could have easily added all of them to my favorites list. I think "Dead is Dead", for instance, is the best episode of Season 5 even though I like "Whatever Happened, Happened" more.
