I second both the suggestions of White Noise and Little Big. They've been on my bookshelf for years.

I love the kid's acting. I got so angry at Paul for not saying anything insightful when his mother kept asking over and over "Should we stay together for Oliver?" Way to be useful, Paul.
hilarious
I missed it on tv, but the explanation for Lily's absence is hilarious and totally in character. I can't wait to see how the season will end.
Hahaha, well played, Music Industry.
That song was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. Spector produced.
creepy
Type "homosexuality" into the amazon search bar and the first result you get is: A Parent's Guide to Preventing Homosexuality.
Just reading this thread has freaked me the fuck out.
I remember Urkel-Os! I begged my mom to buy us a box, but she never did. Damn Urkel prices.
I forgot to mention
One of the first movies I saw in the theater was Ghost Dad (It was 1990 and I was 4 years old). I remember bursting into tears during the opening credits because the combination of sitting in the dark and the cheesy music.
Seriously, I got all misty-eyed reading that.
Everything about this show scared the shit out of me, from the theme music to Robert Stack's narration. I hated looking at the pictures of missing persons.
jonathan
I hope Jonathan isn't really gone. His Jack worship is one of my favorite running gags.
Oh snap, I can't do that album ranking madness. The order changes depending on my mood, but Pablo Honey is always at the bottom and the first 2 positions switch back and forth between OK Computer and Kid A.
favorite band
I don't see the point in re-buying these reissues since I have all the b-sides on my hard drive, but I am sort of interested in that early concert footage. No band has looked goofier in their early years.
My favorite all-time KITH sketch is the one with the Pear dream. After that "LESBIANS GET SO MUCH DONE IN A DAY."
Haha, the theater that does midnight movies in my area (Omaha) is also showing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this weekend.
Seeing Ryan like that made me laugh harder than any moment in this episode. I loved the ending, though. Of all the shows to reference The Graduate, I wouldn't have guessed The Office.
Clicking that youtube link lead me to Sesame Street parodies of Law and Order, CSI, and Twin Peaks. I can't wait to have kids.
Oh, I am in deep agreement about the Dahl. Those books shaped me more than anything.
I do not get this madness about the creatures not looking scary enough. They look similar to the ones in the book.
