I mean, we already got One Winged Angel and Advent Children blink dashing cutscenes fight prior to the Kalm flashback or the impaled Midget Zolom that was supposed to demonstrate sephiroths power. They are probably super fine with rpg sequel bag of spilling resets and power level will be whatever it needs to be to

There’s been a couple of shots in trailers that seemed to show the crew getting hauled out of the rubble from the ending of Remake on stretchers and stuff, so presumably a “they took all our stuff / all our gear got broken” situation.

Yes, I would like a Firaña margarita, please. Love this!

Makes sense. Seeing how you’re geared to the teeth at the end of Part 1, I figured part 2 would be like this or have the classic Metroid “Oh no, all my stuff got broken” cinematic. Which they could have done since Yuffie does steal the party’s gear in the OG, but oh well.

Yeah, I’d love to know how Unity plans to actually distinguish between qualified installations and unqualified ones. How will they handle pirated copies? Is the DRM part of the installer or the executable itself? Will developers/publishers need to make separate builds and depots for charity/bundled copies of games?

RIP Unity. That’s how you kill a product right there.

including that charity games and bundles are excluded from fees

Sea of Stars, i know technically it came out last month but it was only on the 29th and it seems to be getting overlooked due to everything thats coming out lately (i only know of it because a friend pointed it out, i havent seen any press or reviews/ads etc for it) its a really solid 16bit style JRPG that is

Yeah September is fine I suppose, though none of those games are particularly interesting. October, on the other hand...

I’m actually quite sad we’ll never get another Immortals game. It is the distillation of my perfect game design philosophy from AAA sources. Take a grab bag of tricks that work in other games, put it in yours with your own tweaks, and polish it up as best you can. AAA studios should just be constantly doing big

I imagine it’s pretty considerable, they scratch a lot of the same itches.

That’s true. But it doesn’t stop it from sucking.

It was called Gods and Monsters originally, but they were forced to change it because of fucking Monster Energy of all things. Still, the name they landed on was pretty bad.

“According to Axios, part of the reason Immortals 2 was canned was so that Ubisoft could focus on established IP like Assassin’s Creed Red.”

With the number of cancelled project and projects in development hell, I seriously wonder what Ubisoft’s long term plan is.

Damn, the Polynesian stuff sounds AWESOME! I really liked the first game and the people working on it were exciting to work on something different. I feel they wanted to change too many things though. The art style was great, the game was humorous They could have kept these elements. Not every game need diverging

Not a single one of those games would get in Alan Wake 2's way for me, but I get why they’d move. I hope this game hits with audiences like Control did. I love seeing Remedy win.

It was inevitable and I even told my brother that out of all the games coming that week AW2 is going to struggle the most not having the cultural power or fan base to match SM2, ACM and Super Mario. Being nearer to Halloween will also be an advantage for them.

Thanks for your input.

Not really, in the original theatrical release the opening crawl just says “Star Wars.”
