No fucking shit, Sherlock.

god I read the headline and was afraid they were getting rid of old.reddit.

Everything on the internet is ephemeral; eventually, greed takes down every site, every service, every game....

The third one at least, that’s where they show what he looked like before he got the ring

Whenever I see a game get such a low score it makes me think of this:

Putting aside the issues with the execution of this idea, I can’t help but question why anybody thought this was a good concept in the first place. Who the heck wants to play as Gollum in a big-budget AAA stealth game??

Just about any story can be bulleted, as you did, to a boring and simplified mess. Your ability to do that is not a sound counter to what was proposed.

Or a Limbo-style stealth game with Gollum as the protag?

The game never looked good. The developers could never come up with an exciting way to describe the gameplay: “You’re Gollum, and you do... Gollum things. Like crawling around caves in a loin cloth.” The graphics looked dated four years ago, when they first announced the game, and since then the graphics somehow got

No one has ever asked for a LOTR Gollum game. The decision to make one is truly incredible, as in, incredibly stupid.

The greatest irony is that Deadalic does adventure games almost exclusively and your pitch sounds like something up their alley. Why they decided to get this IP to make a movie tie-in level stealth game with PS3 graphics instead is beyond me.

I don’t think Gollum’s a particularly interesting character and I have no intention of playing this game, but there are compelling hypothetical gameplay scenarios that could come from the character. It doesn’t sound like that happens in this game though. What if you have a really cinematic game that focuses on

Man, this WB-Discovery merger just can’t get out of its own way.

Ok, people are discussing who’s right and who’s wrong.

There’s some pretty big differences between PC and console though when it comes to digital-only:

That’s the thing, all of the data is not on the disc. It’s becoming more and more of the norm.  For instance Jedi Survivor would require multiple discs if that was the case.

I hate this. Flat out hate it. The only way to make sure you can always play Alan Wake 2 (especially years and years from now) will be to pirate it. And it doesn’t need to be that way.

HMMMMMM

Most people don’t finish story-based games, and haven’t even when games were shorter and comparatively smaller-scale (even on TrueAchievements, a site for completionists, more than a third of tracked players haven’t finished Halo 3's story mode. When you look at the public stats for the achievement unlocks it drops

If you’re a completionist like me than it’ll take longer. AC2 was about 25 hours for me to 100%. Valhalla I’m at 200 hours and still have a ways to go. I’ll probably hit the 250 hour mark when all is said and done.
