I don’t doubt there is a good game in there, but man did they just blow it with the lack luster opening. Players shouldn’t have to slog through a dull beginning to get through to the good parts. That’s just bad by design, you want to pull your audience  in with a game like this in the beginning.

That said, you would think High Speed Isekai InFamous/Prototype would’ve been more popular.

There’s not a shadow of a doubt in my mind that, even if Forspoken had turned out to be a really solid game all the way through, it’d have been completely brigaded by the GamerGate crowd literally just because black woman.

I really like Forspoken. But it’s a case where the beginning of the game is just markedly worse than the mid and especially the end and you really do need to stick with it.

It’s important to remember that, in the US, the Republican Party hates the federal government so much that they’re willing to make every American’s life worse to deprive it of power.

They could easily be done automatically, but apparently H&R Block and other tax prep companies lobbied hard to prevent that.

For what it's worth I'm the opposite. I set the combat to Story mode and enjoyed the platforming.
