I dunno, it looks pretty modern to me. The drawing style is clearly meant to evoke golden age cartoons somewhat, but the animation is very much of the here and now, and so is the humor. I feel like there’s a lot more they could’ve done to really sell the style. A lower framerate. Film grain. Heavier dust and

A lot of those old browser games were fucking excellent, though, and would still hold up great if Flash hadn’t been killed. The games that keep getting cloned for years are those built around strong core elements that keep hooking people.

And yet you didn't.

yes

Good on Cravotta!  It may not be a shitload of money, but it would still pay some credit card bills....

Googled it, their favourite ones are Glockachu and M4gikarp

Don’t forget qualified immunity! There is a reason why they relaxed the requirements and changed training to ’Warrior training”, or “Feed their fears of society and teach to shoot first and ask questions later” training, and get a badge and a life-ending tool. This is grade A Brown Shirts authoritarian politics. Evil

Sadly, it’s impressive that they were fired at all. Although it took around five years for it to happen.

They should be given a promotion, they probably saved a few lives by playing Pokemon Go instead of responding to the call.  More officers should be like them.

Fuck that, defund the police, no one needs to pay them do anything other than to limit their ability to kill more people. Defund.

Remember, these are the yahoos who’s word is given extra weight and credence when testifying in court against people.

what do you expect them to do? stop a robbery in progress?

My favorite part is they lied to the investigator and said they were “just talking about the game”.

The LAPD’s annual budget is north of $3 Billion and they’re set for an increase. Most cops earn over $100k a year. Their incompetence and impotent rage is on display everywhere you go.

And yet Breonna Taylor’s murderer is still working.

In fact, there was an app called “Lingo” that hung around the app stores for a few years where I guess the GSN lawyers finally got to them; it was renamed something highly generic like Five Letter Words while also removing shared game mechanics like a timer.

He’d run into trouble if he tried to turn it into an addictive, monetized product, given it’s basically a copy of the existing TV game show Lingo. Lawyers would be in touch wanting a piece of the pie.

I love this Wardle guy's attitude towards his game

I love that Wordle is so simple - a quick 5 minute game every morning, a few more to compare results with my friends, and that’s it. It definitely doesn’t need anything else - if you want more words in a day, there are clones out there (and it’s not like Wardle came up with the game). Adding anything to it would make
