Advertisers will bounce if it becomes the hate speech garbage pit of Elon’s dreams, and THAT will leave a major dent. Also he’s charging $20 to have your verification blue check and I imagine a lot of media outlets aren’t gonna pay that for all of their staff.

Because apparently extra eyes make them “adult” and not at all nightmare fuel.

A+ comment.

Gaming remains this weird industry where although it is one of the big kids now, it retains a number of practices/mindsets from its smaller niche days. The aversion to releasing pre-release footage being one of these. It also doesn’t help that nerd/gamer fandom is toxic as shit, and people lose their minds about

I feel like Jason needs to make a guest appearance here.

If given the option I run my PS5 games on graphics over performance mode every time. Ray tracing and 4k is far more important to me than 60fps. My brain adjusts just fine to 30fps as long as it’s stable. And sometimes the 60 just feels unnatural to me.

Also a JRPG lover who had a GameCube and not PS2 and had to stick with Tales and Skies. I liked Tales, tho. But I can say it’s a very different series from Final Fantasy (or rather, Final Fantasy at the time). It’s a lot more anime and goofy which may have been what turned you off.

Had a friend describe Stray as a “Point and click adventure” and I was like gtfo.

And I thought we just called Deus Ex an RPG.

Immersive...what?

I have no idea what that even means. It’s a first person stealth/shooter with a time loop gameplay element; simple. What in the world is “immersive arcade sim” and how does that describe...anything?

Highlight of the presentation for me. I bought the first one as a meme but fell in love with it and absolutely got the second. I may go stupid and get the deluxe version here.

I am very confused by this post.

I got BotW and Horizon Zero Dawn both at launch with the plan to play them simultaneously. That failed miserably and BotW won out. I am just now, in 2022, on the verge of beating HZD, and the joke is it will take me until 2027 to play Forbidden West. But with Pokemon and God of War due out in a few months and now the

Could still be interpreted as crying tho, if you think about it. The kingdom is damaged and the land it shoots out are its metaphorical teardrops.

Imagine people taking one small country’s figureheads this seriously.

Many live events over there have been nonsensically postponed for the forced mourning, so Nintendo UK adhering to that is a more likely explanation.

This 100%. That was so jarring about the first game and is a main reason why I couldn’t finish it. The number of times the script had the in-focus character comment on how they’re all alone was so silly.

This isn’t actually why, right? They’re also just posted it, so unless they censored the end...

Fun fact: this is how I first heard about the Nintendo UK thing, and I thought that was parody too.
