Astro’s Playroom is a charming tech super-demo. Shows the power of the PS5, is a fun little platformer in its own right, has an earwormy soundtrack, and—as Ari said—is loaded with Playstation nostalgia.

Yeah, as I said in my other post, the simplest way to solve this is to have someone like the character portraying and creating said character. Getting into what defines “blackness” is a weird subject. Especially for cases in which the story isn’t happening on Earth.

> I’m honestly a little tired of the cries for Black representation when every streaming service has a specific section dedicated to “Black voices” and there are Blacks Only award shows and Black people dominate the music and sports landscapes.

> I’m having trouble not being overwhelmed with all the options and it kind of scared me off for a bit.

This is really easy. The key to having an authentic character—may they be black or female or Chinese or Mexican—is to have a person who fits that description involved in the creative process, from design to voicing. It’s not high science here. When a rich suburban white dude writes a black character, well, yes, you’re

Oh no, I just get a replacement through Nintendo’s website. Not playing around with any third party batteries, haha.

Yikes! Luckily my Majora’s Mask Edition New 3DSXL is still going strong! Gonna need a second battery replacement soon, though.

I was all ready to preorder tomorrow, but then I just so happened to stumble upon 3ds homebrew over the weekend, and…yeah. Kinda don’t need this now?

I think it’s certainly intentional to steer Valhalla more towards mythology and to have a Ragnarok episode (some would call it dueling works https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DuelingWorks). This is definitely gonna be out before the next GoW, which was also part of the logic I bet.

People I know who never cared for the modern day stuff since AC3 were really fans of it in Valhalla. I always liked it in concept, but it seemed to have lost its way since AC3. Relegating the conclusion to the whole Juno plot to the comic series was certainly a choice.

Anyone who responds with “WELL ACTUALLY God of War didn’t invent ‘Ragnarok’” is getting dismissed, as I’m assuming you’re trolling. Surely your reading comprehension and critical thinking can’t actually be that bad.

That was considered a side-story and not a full blown sequel. For whatever that’s worth.

I haven’t beaten Valhalla yet, but my understanding is the modern day storyline is actually interesting again.

Yes I am well aware. Do you know what the upcoming God of War game is called?

So that explains the “God of War” comparison from the previous leak. They’re even calling it “Ragnarok”! Bold move, Ubisoft.

Interesting. Fwiw I played the Control Ultimate Edition. I dunno if that added things, but there were pretty direct Alan Wake references all throughout the main game. Then I played Alan Wake and its DLC all before returning to Control’s AWE DLC, so it all flowed nicely for me. I thought it fit in well with the main

You didn’t like it? I really enjoyed it. Not the antagonist I expected but whatever. I thought the implications were appropriately mindfucky.

The man had his first game, and DLC chapters, and a spin-off game, and a DLC chapter in another game. I think it’s beyond time to:

Yeah, the stinger alluded to it. Which makes this timing exactly what it said it would be.
