Agreed. If they made it hyper realistic, it would lose the charm and funny sorta stiffness of the originals. I think it looks like a super DC game.

I think it looks excellent. How could you more succesfully bring Shenmue into the current generation without abandoning its much loved art style and character design? I had hoped to have at least one place I could go to and escape from endless debates, finger-pointing, and rhetoric over the next few weeks and months. A place where I could just engage in my hobby, and only see election or political stories if they actually affected video games. Maybe someone would make a good game…

Exactly. We have to remember though Kirk is a PC gamer first, so he’s usually pretty biased against console anything to begin with, let alone a VR experience that isn’t one he purchased. Gotta take some of the things he says with the customary grain of salt - most nonpartisan reviewers gave it great scores

Great to see people are having fun in what Kirk basically said was outdated hardware. So odd that you can actually have fun with something that’s not top of the line. So glad I don’t live my life needing the most expensive of everything I enjoy.
