Ha. Are there any Jewish day schools in the O.C.? Funny thing is that I had a friend who went to Loyola, and he said like 30% of the kids there were Jewish.

I used to be a docent at Museum where we did a lot of tours with kids from the inner-cities, and I always noticed this. I would try to imagine what kind of person they would be like in 20 years.

Yes! Also— Asian Hispanics. They are a thing.

Maybe not meeting but interacting. I grew up in L.A., yet remember being the only black student at times at a school of 800+ students. I was raised Catholic and lived far away from the nearest black neighborhoods, so until my junior year of high school, the only black people I had any relationship with were my dad and

Jesus, I'm getting paid $8.75/hour (minimum wage here) for one of those "liberal-arts interships" right now and I thought I was the lucky one. Seriously though, not earning a wage or stipend for working 40 hours a week should be considered criminal. Unpaid internships are increasingly becoming the norm. You'd think

I mostly with you, BUT I got to reject the notion that black people are the sole experts on biracial hair simply because they understand black hair. I'm mixed, half African-American and half Mexican, and I've had more difficult experiences at black barbershops than regular ones. Why? Because the guys at the black

This list reveals the clear bias everyone has towards their father's drink of choice. My pops drank nothing but RR and even though I never buy it, I'm actually upset that it's so far down the list.

Non-restrictive relative clauses. Someone seems to be a fan of them.
