I feel it's so that people can differentiate how seeing the character is at the moment. If all power levels looked like super saiyan form one, you would never know exactly how much power they are using.

I've honestly always enjoyed the simplicity of the Clone armor. I know that if the movies were made now they probably would be designed more like these armor sets, but back then the Storm Trooper outfits were pretty good for what many people forget was an independent science fiction film.

Not really. The Nolan films are horrid. It's like they took a rather good action movie and randomly threw Batman in there. He doesn't fit into the world they created and he's silly and cartoony in the films, even more so than Batman & Robin.

The evolution of the Joker is what startles me the most. Back during the 60s, he was just one of Batman's idiot enemies - another face in a colourful cast.
