Correction: the announcement is that it’s going on hiatus, not ending. Likely because a new DB movie comes out in December so the animation team will be working on that for a while. But the network specifically said that the series is not ending yet.

I dunno. They seem to have dragged this tournament out over way more episodes than necessary already.

The anime isn’t dependent on the manga; it’s not the same as it was with the original and DBZ. Toriyama isn’t writing the manga and he essentially just acts as a concept artist and first draft writer for the anime before other people take over. I’ve seen that Toriyama only works one day a week for DBS, actually.

Prior to Super’s development, a whole department was created to flesh out the entire world of Dragon Ball Super and beyond. Super may end but something else will begin. The entire DB universe is here to stay, literally, forever.

Naruto should have taken some breaks. One piece too. If its not filler than its padded out episodes that feel dragged out. Really ruins the watching experience.

Good to know. I save Super for when I’m feeling down and then binge 10-15 episodes in a few days. It’s like coming home to a comfy blanket, but that blanket screams a lot and really wants to dye your hair an interesting shade of aquamarine.

It’s performing quite well actually. This current run is just running its course. DB isn’t going anywhere, they have a game releasing and a movie this year, but Super’s manga is way behind and you can only get so far off Toriyama’s initial ideas. This is the right time to take a break.

It is going on HIATUS. It will be back . They have been working non-stop for a while now. This will give them time to focus on production as well as letting the manga catch up.
