Hey thanks guys, now I'm going to have to figure out how to make this trick not work. We lock down workstations with passworded screensavers for a reason, defeating it opens companies up to all sorts of security risks.

they had me all the way up to "Facebook takes your privacy seriously."

I use carpathia for my hosting. They better not raise prices to cover that theoretical loss.

Wow, that's ballsy. Technically our acceptable use says nothing but work data anywhere but the reality is we don't care what people put on their laptop - but the second it hits network storage it becomes my problem. Yay for 2k8r2 allowing admins to disallow file types from being saved to shared drives and arcserve

There's nothing wrong with logging into fb every once in a while. We don't block it, but we limit it to 30 minutes a day. Websense is good like that.

You're nicer than we are. We just fire people and get on with our day.

You're right, except for those that will abuse it. Open facebook thinking people will spend a few minutes here and there but it never ends up working out that way.

I was remoted into someone's work machine and found porn hub still in the search in IE. We didn't do anything about it but we sure screenshotted it and had a good laugh. Don't be that guy on IT's wall of shame. You'll never live it down

Umm. Yes you are being monitored at work and no you shouldn't try to circumvent it. Even if your IT department doesn't admit it, they know what you do online and what websites you go to. If your company policy says you are monitored getting around that monitoring may end badly for you.

Nothing wrong with sandboxing it in a VM with the nic turned off. That's my plan anyway.

Giz knows who their readers are.

a king among dotcommers anyway.

He's not trolling. he just got really really baked before reading this article and thought he'd share.

That doesn't excuse not moving everyone's data from iwork to icloud if those users should choose to subscribe to the service. It's not a difficult thing to make happen.

Sous Vide does wonderful things to otherwise crappy cuts. Even flank steak connective tissue doesn't stand a chance.

or an enema bulb

use WD40 as cooking spray. You'll get one of the 2 things you asked for.

They forgot the important one. WD40 is under no circumstances an acceptable personal lubricant. Don't ask how I know that.

You should thank them.

My partner is the messy one. Putting his crap on our bed isn't really the best way to go.
